Chapter 142 Days to the wedding 23

   I hugged my baby again as I prayed inwardly for her not to get pregnant. Why would they even indulge in unprotective sex when they're not married yet. "I need to go check now!" I nodded with a slight smile as she picked the kit and left the balcony.

I was anxious as I could feel my tummy already turning. I took in deep breaths to calm my nerves, If the result turns out positive that would really break Carie. I sighed thinking of the next thing to do, why does everything have to happen this week.

First it was my Dad's threats, next it's Carie's pregnancy. Wow..., what more do you have for us week. I also hope you'd let me get married with my mum by my side. "Huh!" I sighed. 

Carie got back to the balcony after a while with a grave face, and my heart skipped. She held the dip skit with tears in her eyes, from her actions I could already tell what the result of the test would be. I got up and hugged my baby.

"Hazel, it's two lines, I'm pregnant, Lukas got me pregnant!" She raised her voice high a little as subs filled the balcony. "Shuuuu... Someone might here you, we promised to keep this a secret for now remember?" I patted her back trying to calm here down.

"I don't want this thing!" "Why? My words came as a whisper. "How can I get pregnant now, I still have a lot to do!" Are you kidding me? I screamed in my head. "You can't kill an innocent child, you have everything and Lukas is a stinking Billoniare. You too love each other so much and would extend the love to your child. What more could your baby ask for?" 

"You both have been dating for a long time like you said, since high school. You were going to get married anyway. It's just... This time it would be faster before your baby bump shows off!" I tried to coax her more, hopefully she might understand.

"I don't know Hazel....!" She placed her hands on her head, as if feeling dizzy. "Come here sit!" I helped her on the bench. "I know I might sound a little selfish, which anyone can be selfish but I just want to see a second Carie and carry her in my hands!" I cleaned the little tear drops from my eyes.

We just didn't know this baby would come now, but since it's here we have to accept and love the baby. "We don't know what gender my baby is yet, and you're already saying it's a girl!" I cleaned the tears from her eyes.

"I hope it's a girl, I want little Carie before little Lukas. So it's a girl and that stays!" She chuckled, and then we started crying. Carie was so calm about this, I would really panik if I was the one pregnant. I mean another human is growing in me, that feels so scary.

"Do you think Lukas would still love me with a baby bump?" She asked in-between her subs which got me confused and worried at once. "Why wouldn't he love you? He would even love you more!" I tried to sound as sweet as possible.

Carie is a stubborn woman when she's not pregnant, I wonder how troublesome she'd be now she's pregnant. "It's just, he said he was not ready to be a father or a husband and I should give him some time!" First stage of insecurities. 

"Well, I'm sure with this cute baby on the way, he'd be more than happy to make you his wife!" She smiled at my words. "You're right, Lukas loves me, he really do!" 

We cleaned our tears and each time we both stare at each other we laughed cause of how swollen our eyes were. I just didn't know if I should tell her what my father said or not. No matter how hard I try to forget his words, they just keep coming back to me, like they're stuck in my heart. I blinked to get the thought off my head. I can't possibly disturb my baby, especially now she's pregnant. She needs to stay far away from negativity.

We got back into the mansion and into Carie's room since she asked me to stay with her for the night. Strangely I haven't seen grandma and Avery all day, it seems like they varnished since I got here. I waved the thought of. Slowly my eyes got heavier and I fell asleep.

          Avery got into Carie's room for their sister talk since Hazel has taken her place in Carie's life ever since she got here. Carie prefers to spend a month or forever close to Hazel forgetting her and what they used to share before Hazel got here.

She's not a social person and one needs work hard, to get her to like you and Hazel doesn't have the time to be clingy. Especially to someone who doesn't like her. 

She got into Carie's room, only to see Hazel on the bed with her sister, Hazel again.... This is the reason she could never like Hazel. She got out of the room banging the door hard.

       Back at the Balowe's mansion, Berverly was sitted in her room with her face mask on and two slice of cucumber on her eyes. She has been leaving peacefully without any problem these days, especially the things she has to bring Xavier and his fake daughter down. Then assume her position as the real first lady of the Wilson's empire.

She has successfully distracted her nagging father with his favorite play thing. Work. Berverly felt fufiled at that moment. "Berv I'm in trouble!" Maya barged into Berverly's room without knocking earning a frown from her elder sister but Berverly kept her cool.

"Who did you kill this time little sis?" Berverly said unhurriedly as her eyes were still shut with the cucumber on it. "That's not a problem. I'm pregnant berv, and it's Daniels child!" Maya said panicked striken. "And how does that affect me?" Berverly asked nonchalantly.

"What? You know father's not gonna accept the child!" "So why did you let him get you pregnant?"

"You know I loved him!" "Oh well, like they say love conquers all, maybe father would be pleased when he hears your love story!" Berverly said sarcastically. "What do you suggest I do now?" 

"Get rid of that curse or better still find a rich man to put it on!" Maya gave a little thinking to her sister's words, "Ah...!"

"What now?" "I had an affair with Lukas during my stay in Dubai, it was nothing serious and I did it to poke Carie!" "Great you have a catch!" Berverly clapped a little. "He's quite a good catch but, he paid me never to tell Carie and I even signed a contract!" 

"Hahaha!" Berverly laughed. "That cannot stop you from reporting him to his family, mistake happens and you know how desperate his old man is for Lukas to get married. If they find out you're pregnant, it's a win win for all!" 

"Dad would be very much happy with you!" She added. "You're right, I'm a month pregnant, it's not too much to cut it down to a two weeks!" "Hmm, now get out of my room, I have other things to do!" Berverly continued her relaxing and Maya walked out preparing herself to go to Lukas's family house.
