Office assistant

Chloe descended the stairs rapidly skipping some steps in the process, arriving at the dining room she found Liam already seated with his arms folded below his chest. With her head lowly bent she approached the first chair at her right and sat .

He gave her a quick glance from hair to toe, accessing her choice of outfit , a yellow patterned panda pajamas, her hair was wet with droplets of water at the tip of her hair . ' Why didn't she dry her hair before coming down? Was she in a hurry or something? With the current weather conditions she might catch a cold if she doesn't do something about that wet hair' . Wait a minute! Why am I even concerned about her well-being? I must be going out of my mind '.

" I heard you went outside today" He said giving her a questioning stare

" I -I-uh went to see my friend Daisy at a nearby restaurant " She replied, delighted he was concerned about her whereabouts , smiling at the thought of it. But her joy was cut short when she heard his next words.

" It was stated clearly in the contract that you are not allowed to step outside with my permission. Didn't you go through the contract or perhaps you chose to violate it ? It's imperative you go through the contract again for your own good , Any further relapse from your side has its own punishment " he calmly explained,his voice and his tone sharp. His eyes are not leaving hers for a bit .

Her smile faltered, she felt sweat forming on her forehead, ' Chloe it's all your wishful thinking that he's starting to care about you ' . She opened her mouth to reply to him, at least apologize for violating the contract but nothing came out. She lowered her gaze , fiddling with the hem of her pajamas shirt. Slowly lifting her head she found out he had started eating, not sparing her a glance.

The dinner went awkwardly slow, and every moment of it was a torture to her. Despite feeling hungry earlier she no longer has appetite nor feel comfortable to eat with Liam, not with the intimidating aura he was eluding . Silence enveloped the dining, the only disturbing noise was coming from her . Losing her appetite, she kept stabbing the broccolis in her pasta , playing with them not bothering to eat it. She felt his intimidating gaze fixated on her, she slowly raised her head to meet his gaze.

Liam cleaned his mouth with the table linen , and leaned back on his chair .

" Starting tomorrow you will be working at the Reigns corporation as my office assistant " he broke the silence with his command.

recovering from the bombshell that was dropped on her, looking directly to his face she started .

"Thank you MR Liam, for the offer, but -as much as I'm glad about your offer , I know nothing about business. Besides it wasn't my major in school , I wouldn't like to embarrass you and myself in the process " Chloe pointed out , hopefully he will reconsider because she can't differentiate between blue and black in the business world, all she knows about is showbiz. Even the business aspect of it her manager handled it for her .

" Who said you have the right to decline ? Tomorrow you are starting work at the Reigns Corporation , my personal assistant will teach you all you need to know as an assistant. That is an order ! " Having said that he walked out of the dining room leaving the now dazed Chloe to digest his order.

Chloe's eyes trailed after him as he ascended the stairs, puffing her cheeks she mimicked his tone of speech and repeated what he said earlier ' That is an order ! ' . Hell! She didn't even know where to start from. He's always giving her instructions on a short notice ! She didn't know what to wear to the said office tomorrow, Damn you Liam ! She hissed. ' seems like you have a lot of browsing to do tonight ' . She stuffed her mouth with the pasta , her appetite returning immediately Liam left the dining room.

' he didn't even finish his food ' as much as she doesn't want to eat , she doesn't like wasting food hence she found herself munching on the steaks .

Chloe returned to the comfort of her room, picked up her iPad browsing everything about the Reigns Corporation , ' wow! 500 workers and three subsidiaries outside the country, how wealthy is Liam? ' Thinking about it, he must be very wealthy to employ that amount of workers. After finding out everything she needs to know about Liam and his company she proceeded to browse a little about her future role in the company as an office assistant. 'It won't hurt if I have an idea about my role before your personal assistant will have to do it for me, ' she grimaced and rolled her eyes at the thought of his command.
