With my fingers crossed for luck, I entered the hospital alongside Vincenzo. The receptionist asked us to wait for about 5 minutes, which felt like an eternity as my anxiety grew.

"Please have a seat," the gynecologist said with a warm smile.

We took the seats in front of her, and I couldn't help but notice how loudly my heart was thumping in my chest.

The gynecologist began to ask us a few questions, and we answered them together. Then, with a reassuring smile, she led us to the room where the ultrasound would take place. Vincenzo followed us closely, eager to see our baby on the screen as well. My anticipation and excitement mixed with a touch of nervousness as we waited for the ultrasound to begin.

I felt a slightly ticklish sensation as the gynecologist moved the ultrasound machine over my stomach, but I did my best to stay still, not wanting to create any problems for the doctor.
