Roseline's POV
The room was dimly lit, with the soft glow of the desk lamp illuminating the space around me. My notes and books were scattered around.
My eyes were stuck on the laptop screen when I heard a voice from the back.
"You still awake?" he asked, his surprise evident as he stepped out of his study. It was common for him to work late into the night, but I usually preferred to sleep early, so my late-night studying must have caught him off guard.
"Yeah, just going through a few case studies," I replied without turning my gaze away from the screen
"You know you are taking this test too seriously. You may fall ill from all the stress," he warned, his concern palpable as he approached me.
