17 7. Not Letting You Go

Rui receives the call from the head maid. He stands up and quickly heads to the hospital.

As soon as he arrives at the hospital, he quickly storms in and go on the elevator and head third level.

His heart was pounding. (Hana. Please be okay.) Ding. He gets off the elevator and head to Hana's room. He walks pass her room but stops his tracks. He takes a step back, he sees her through the window.

Hana was sleeping. He walks in quietly and sits on the chair. As minutes turns to hours, he waits impatiently for her to wake up. He reach out and touch her face.

Zamir and Cindy arrives to the hospital to visit Hana. As they arrive to the doorway. Zamir knits his brows as he sees a man in the room with Hana. Zamir quickly walks in and grabs his hand.

Rui startles and glare back at Zamir. Cindy was really enjoying the scene. (Oh my. Hana is truly blessed by surrounding by men.) Zamir said; "What do you think you're doing?" "None of your business." "Im afraid it IS my business."

They continue to glare one another. Cindy gets in between them. "That's enough, you two. I get it. You two are worried about her but she needs her rest." Both of them turns away from each other. (Cindy: How childish.)

Later that night Rui left and return to his company as Zamir still stay next to Hana. A few minutes later, Hana knits her brows and slowly opens her eyes. (Hana: ugh. Hospital.) she slowly sits up and massage the left side of her neck.

She looks up and sees Zamir dozing off as Cindy is sleeping on the couch. Hana removes the blanket and gets out of the bed. She slowly grab the blanket and walk towards Zamir to cover him with a blanket.

His eyes immediately opens as he jolts. His eyes met hers. She froze on the spot since she's trying not to wake him up but she end up waking him up. "...Hi." She smiles awkwardly.

She moves away from him and return to the bed. He asks, "How are you feeling?" "Feeling better than before." He nods. She lowers her gaze to the floor as the atmosphere gotten too awkward.

He speaks up and said, "That man was here earlier." She looks up at Zamir. "...Your husband...that is." She averts her eyes and stays silent. She thinks about what to say and decides to speak up, "y'know....I owe him."

Zamir's eyes never left on her. "His parents took me in and sacrificed their lives for me. His former wife died on the wedding day..because of me." She looks at Zamir.

"I decided to choose to marry him because I owe it to him. I took everything from him." "Marriage without love?" She smiles wryly, "There's no law about marriage that you have to be in love with the other person in order to get married."

Zamir gets up from the chair and kneel in front of her. "Be with me, Hana." Hana stays in silent. "We will find the mastermind of all of this. Together."

Rui after his work and return to the hospital. He sees the door was open. He was about to enter but heard their conversation. He was shocked to hear that Hana was the cause of Allie's, his parents' death.

Rui was about to walk away since he didn't want to hear her reply to Zamir's question. Hana replies; "Zamir. I'm sorry. I can't leave Rui or his son." "Why? Why not?"

Rui stops on his tracks when he hears her reply. Zamir stands up, angry. "Because you owe it to him?!" Hana replies in a calm voice, "It's...my punishment for my sins." She looks at Zamir. "Please take Cindy with you. I got it covered." "Hana." "I'm tired. Please leave."

Zamir clench his hands. He turns his heels and lift Cindy into his arms and left. Hana sighs. (Zamir...Thank you for loving me but you deserve a better woman.)

Vrrmmm vrmmmm. Her phone vibrates. She picks it up. "Hello?" "Hana, it's me." "What is it?" "I found the person who's behind the wheel of your incident." "Who?" "He's the secretary of Javier's." Hana smiles, "No wonder he looks familiar."

"What's next?" "I'll take it from here. Thank you." "No biggie." Hana hangs up the call. "So it's you, Mr. Darwin." Rui was shocked. (Darwin?? Isn't that...uncle's secretary..?)

Rui turns his heels and was about to head out but heard a few nurses talking about Hana's situation. Rui was double shocked. He went up to them and demands them to tell him. The nurses look at one another and said; "Ms. Hana has a miscarriage due to the car accident." Other nurse said; "she was a couple weeks pregnant."

Rui turns his heels and went back to Hana's room. She was reading a book. She looks up and sees Rui heavily panting. She tilts her head to the side. "What's wrong?"

He walks in the room and sit next to her. He leans in and put his head on her shoulder. (Rui: how come you're not saying anything about the miscarriage? How come you're not relying on me? Am I that useless to you?)

"Rui?" Rui couldn't ask her anything. (Rui: is it because you don't love me?) He felt a sharp pain in his heart. He raises his head and looks at her. Their eyes met but she couldn't figure what's on his mind.

His right hand touch her cheek and his hand slide down to her chin. (Rui: No matter what, I'm not letting you go.) His eyes on her lips. He leans in and kissed her as her eyes widened.
