A Trip Down The Memory Lane: Narcissa
Harry Potter drowned himself in that muggle gadget, SELLPHONE or whatever while Narscissa looked at him indirectly.
She was worried.
She was afraid.
She wanted to tell the boys and even Hermione the secret she was carrying in her heart. But somewhere she wasn't certain whether any of them will understand her point of view. At times Narscissa thought, was it madness? If seen generally, definitely yes. But Narscissa knew the truth. And she knew as a mother she chose correctly for her Mini.
As she waited silently for Draco and Mini to come back, her mind drifted back to that fated evening.
Hermione was shivering in cold and Narscissa didn't know how to calm her down. She was running fever for six days. It was a weird situation.
She was turning green. Her mudblood wound was bleeding and she was unconscious.
It was not black magic, Narcissa herself was pioneer in detecting dark magic. It was something weird, ancient, powerful...
No potion, no muggle drugs.... nothing worked.
Nothing.
Minerva McGonagall and Luna Lovegood were busy going over an old manuscript that apparently talked about some similar conditions as documented by a potion master ages back.
Good thing was , Mini was not deteriorating.
But there was no improvement either.
As a mother, Narscissa couldn't tolerate the situation and contacted the only two ladies who were regular visitors to their so called home.
Suddenly McGonagall asked her the weirdest question she ever heard.
" Narscissa, why is your son still single? "
Narscissa was shocked by the timing of the question.
" Sorry Madam McGonagall, I ... I dont understand the relevance".
" When was the last time your son actually had a real date?"
It was Luna who answered.
" Draco Malfoy last dated Pansy Parkinson before the war. I remember him talking about feeling incompetent as a man after his Aunt tortured Hermione in Malfoy Manor as all he did was watching silently without protesting. Perhaps he broke up with Parkinson after the war and he never dated officially thereafter "
"I see", chuckled McGonagall.
" Can any of you tell me about Draco's empathy quotient?"
Narscissa sighed.
Draco was always a soft hearted boy.
Lucius literally lashed him to develop his MALFOY LIKE attitude. But she still remembered the day Draco almost choked to death when his father crucioed his pet dog and almost killed it. As Bruno started succumbing to pain, so did Draco. Only then did Lucius stop. Draco's empathy quotient was too high.
After she reported this to Madam McGonagall, she frowned.
" What's the possibility that your son secretly admired Miss Granger?"
Narscissa was about to negate the idea but Luna intervened.
" Pretty high Professor. Draco Malfoy is fond of perfectionists and throughout our school life he specifically picked up on Hermione to interact with her. In one psychological session at ANGELS he kind of confessed that Hermione Granger is the most perfect woman he has ever seen and he further said he loathed Ronald Weasley for shaming her publicly. "
" Possible... possible.... ", Madam McGonagall nodded.
The old Professor was becoming more like Albus Dumbledore as days passed. She was like a riddle. She solved the most critical things in the most unusual ways. Narscissa felt frustrated.
" What is possible Professor?". She couldn't hold her thoughts any longer.
McGonagall took the manuscript in hand and read aloud:

McGonagall closed the manuscript and looked at Luna Lovegood and Narsicca Malfoy.

As witches, they knew how blood magic worked. Luna quickly drew a chart with the name of all the men present in the Malfoy Manor when Bellatrix gave Hermione that MUDBLOOD wound.
All three were sure, whatever was happening to Hermione was related to the day she got that wound. After much discussion, they narrowed down on three names..... Potter, Weasley and Malfoy and the names were written on a fresh parchment. Luna pierced Hermione's finger to squeeze a few drops of her blood on the parchment and the three witches hold hands and started chanting in unison. The blood trail split in three directions and moved towards all three names.
As the ladies looked in horror, all three trails moved steadily and small flames burst across the names.
The girl was literally doomed.
Suddenly the voice of Draco Malfoy was heard and Narcissa's chain of thoughts broke.
She was still unsure if she should tell them the truth or stick to the version given to Mini.
Hermione Granger didn't know about her bond with Harry Potter or Ronald Weasley.
Narscissa used her own blood and Minerva McGonagall used some ancient magic to bring her out of coma and as decided between herself, McGonagall and Luna Lovegood, Hermione was told only about the Spousal bond between her and Draco Malfoy. But destiny was playing her own cards and Narscissa didn't know if it would be wise to hide the truth any more. Although unknowingly, Hermione seems to have rejected Weasley. But could the fall out be really called rejection? Who knows !!!!!
Narcissa knew, the proud Draco Malfoy would never confront his own feelings. But she also knew Hermione Granger. She would die but she won't ask for Draco's help. Ronald had already broken her heart and Harry was already settled happily with Ginny. Hence the IVF and stealing of sperm sample drama was orchestrated and Narscissa used her own blood connection with Bellatrix to subdue Hermione's suffering during her pregnancy.
At that point all Narcissa cared for was Mini.
But after Missy was born, Narcissa started her loving much more than Hermione. She was the daughter Narscissa always dreamt about .
But the Mudblood curse was now killing that child.... the apple of her eyes. She was dying.
But logically speaking, was Missy even supposed to be born?
Even McGonagall and Luna Lovegood helped Hermione suppress Missy's conditions. But the more she grew, more she started showing accidental magic. That in turn started affecting her vitality. Missy would make Malfoys proud.
Narscissa knew it.
Hermione was contemplating merging a muggle technique called Bone Marrow transplantation with some ancient blood magic spells. But for that they needed another child.
But will that even be feasible?
As Draco and Hermione settled down, Harry looked up at them.
Even before anyone else could speak, Harry's deep voice was heard,
" I cant share Hermione with Ferret. I think I have to talk to the Ministry..."
