A Failed Mission.

Hand building pottery is the most primitive form of pottery making but is considered by some to be the most complex, it tends to look more rustic and rough around the edges than pottery thrown on a wheel.

Shao Jinhai knew this so well, it is not in any way easy, primarily if one is expecting a fine result.

Chan Juan gave him a suspicious glance before speaking,

"How does it work?"

"Well, very easy if I should say. You are putting your hands to work here, you are not going to need a wheel and it takes little time. I am actually helping you here, I should not be doing this, but I am left with no alternative."

Shao Jinhai expressed frigidly.

Chan Juan furrowed her brows, Shao Jinhai is up to something, how would he sacrifice that expensive flower vase for a hand-built pot? What is he trying to do? Anyways she wouldn't accept defeat, never! Chan Juan pondered, curling her hand into a strong fist.

Chan Juan coughed and began,

"Thank you for your immense concern, but I, Chan Juan never backs out from my promise, so I will do the vase. Thus, the tallies will be even."

Shao Jinhai contorted and smirked at what Chan Juan had just said.

"Did not expect you to be so logical..." Shao Jinhai uttered with so much ridicule in his voice.

Chan Juan pursed her lips with so much contempt,

Shao Jinahi pointed towards the direction of the wheel,

"Over there, is the wheel. Get to work, you only have seven days."

"Seven days!" Chan Juan exclaimed.

"Yes, is there a problem?" Shao Jinahi asked with loose shoulders, giving Chan Juan a sterile look.

Chan Juan dropped the lump of clay back on the table and walked with long strides towards Shao Jinhai,

"Of course there's a problem Mister Shao..."

"Mister Shao?" Shao Jinhai asked coldly, Chan Juan ignored him and continued.

"I remember vividly, you telling me that you spent two weeks on that vase. Now you are here saying to me seven days?!" Chan Juan exclaimed with a vicious blood-flecked glare.

"And so?"

Chan Juan distorted,

"I mean that is bias."

"Because I'm the dominant here. Now get to work, it's pointless arguing further." Shao Jinhai patted her head with a rather friendly yet intimidating gesture and left.

Chan Juan looked over her slouched shoulders and squinted at the wheel, she was previously trying to stand up to him, but she got slapped in the face instead.

"He is the dominant my ass, does he think I will kiss his butt?" Chan Juan glared at the direction Shao Jinhai walked past.

Back at the hotel,

"Hey wait up!" Xie Li ran after Guo Qiang.

They got into the car, Xie Li was panting hard and was trying to catch his breathe, Guo Qiang had a very crude look.

"You were walking so fast, I could hardly catch up." Xie Li said amidst breath.

"Those bastards! I'm sure they found out that we already know their hideout." Guo Qiang clutched tightly on the steering.

"Wait..."

"What?" Guo Giang sneered, prying Xie Li so hard.

"Haven't you thought about it?" Xie Li was looking like scientist who just discovered something new in his experiment.

"About what?" Guo Qiang asked reluctantly, less interested in whatever Xie Li was going to say.

"Didn't you think it was odd; I mean your sister disappeared three days before her wedding to a big shot, with no call from the kidnappers or even..."

Guo Qiang cut him off.

"Wait a minute, what are you implying?"

Xie Li settled his butt on the seat,

"I'm implying that, what if erm.. What if there wasn't actually a kidnapper or kidnappers? What if..." Xie Li trailed off expecting Guo Qiang to catch up.

Guo Qiang contorted, trying to deduce,

"That it was kind of orchestrated by..."

Xie Li blinked, Guo Qiang would roast him if he gets his point,

"Don't tell me.. You mean Guo Daiyu?" Guo Qiang questioned with a salty look.

Darn it! He got my point, Xie Li sunk into the seat and muttered,

"Maybe..."

"What the hell?"

"No.. Yes I mean, possibly.."

"Shut it!" Guo Qiang exclaimed

"Sorry..."

Guo Qiang looked disappointed, it was like a failed mission.

In a big Contemporary Mansion, in the patio on the first floor, which had low lights, it was furnished with a giant vase at the exit and rows of ring lights hanging from the edge of the roof and were rotating, Liwei sipped on his wine gently, crossing his legs in style as he smiled inwardly to himself.

"Can't things get any better than this?" he spread his arms, and stretched his empty glass to Peizhi who as standing near him, to pour him wine.

"Peizhi, book me a flight to China. I need to see an old friend." Liwei spoke and sipped on his wine.

"Yes sir." Peizhi bowed and walked away.

Liwei stood up and walked to the balcony, feeding his eyes on the beautiful view from the mansion.

"Finally..." He uttered and sighed happily like someone who just won a medal.
