“Remember, you too will need your strength for tonight. I assume you’ll mate at midnight with an early breakfast served to the attendees and get married tomorrow. After the wedding brunch we’ll have to leave right away for New York. We still have the Hughes business pending.” Rémy took a sip of his coffee.
“Has anyone called Murphy to see if he’s checked with the airlines? If he traveled and the airline has the record of a ticket purchased and used, Hughes goes to jail for skipping out on bail.” Marc buttered some cornbread.
“That’s a good idea. I’ll call Murphy after the meeting.”
The four housekeepers came in to clear and set three carafes of coffee on the table with cups, cream, and sugar.
