Mark Kent: DC's Kryptonian Saiyan

Mark Kent, like his older brother, Clark, was born with superhuman abilities. It was evident by their physical features that they weren't the biological sons of Martha and Jonathan Kent, however, the two did not expect to hear that they were aliens from another planet. However, as the two grew older, Mark started noticing the differences between him and his brother, not just in appearance but in the way their bodies began changing with their powers. He realizes that he is growing stronger than his older brother, yet he is still seen as inferior. This angers Mark, causing him to feel both jealous and insecure. This all culminates in Mark attempting to break free of his brother's shadow. As for how far he will go, only time will tell.

Prologue

Taroto, a Saiyan warrior from another universe, was sent to the planet Krypton when he was an infant with the task of growing up on the planet and conquering it for his people. Growing up, Taroto was a prideful Saiyan, wanting nothing more than to become stronger so he could single-handedly conquer the planet.

However, Taroto was shocked to discover that many Kryptonians were stronger than he was when he was a child. Though unknown, Saiyans and Kryptonians seemed to have been equal in strength. Though Kryptonians had the edge when fighting on their home planet. However, Taroto would grow stronger with every spar against his comrades.

Taroto knew it would be impossible for him to take over the entire planet by himself. Knowing that his people would one day come to check up on his progress, Taroto did nothing more than continue to train, getting stronger while forming relationships with his 'fellow' Kryptonians.

He had made a few friends, despite being picked on for being different with his long, spikey hair and larger-than-average eyes, and he truly did enjoy their company. Ever since they were children, Taroto and his friends would spar with each other, helping Taroto get stronger after every bout.

Despite appreciating his friends, Taroto knew that this would all have to end someday. He knew that they would have to die by his hand, though that fact did not bother him too much.

However, one day, this would all change.

During his final years of schooling, Taroto met a girl named Lara Lor-El. She was the most beautiful woman he had ever laid his eyes on, with her curly brown hair and the eyes of a warrior.

She was everything he was looking for in a mate.

Assertive.

Intelligent.

Gorgeous.

And most importantly, she was a fine warrior. One that would be the absolute perfect woman to give birth to his child.

His intentions at first were to use her to breed a son so powerful, that he would stand to be undefeated by any Kryptonian or Saiyan. A being so powerful, that no one would ever be able to stand in his way.

However, Taroto soon found himself genuinely falling in love with the Kryptonian woman, and after years of dating her and eventually marrying her, the Saiyan forgot all about his directives of conquering the planet.

All he cared about was being a loving husband...

... and soon a loving father.

It wasn't too long after their marriage that Taroto and Lara were expecting a baby. Taroto wanted a son more than anything, and his prayers were answered doubly when his wife gave birth to two twin boys: Kyga and Kyzo.

For a month, the four of them lived as a family until one day the Saiyans sent a message to check up on Taroto's progress.

They spoke to him in private, asking him why the planet remained unconquered. Taroto gave his reasons, stating that he couldn't defeat a planet full of warriors that were on the same level as Saiyans by himself and that he also had a wife and two children on the planet whom he had loved dearly.

He begged them to cease the invasion but they refused.

The Saiyans did not care, ordering Taroto to kill his wife and his two kids in their sleep and to prepare for an invasion on Krypton by morning. Taroto refused, telling the Saiyans that Krypton was his home and that the Kryptonians raised him, therefore, he was more Kryptonian than Saiyan.

This angered the Saiyans greatly. They called him a coward, disowning him and informing him that he would be captured and taken back to Planet Vegeta, the Saiyan homeworld, for his crimes. Taroto of course refused, telling them that they'd have to kill him if they wanted him to ever go back to that planet.

After speaking to his superiors, Taroto told his wife everything. It hurt her that he had lied to her after all of these years, but she understood why it remained a secret. Taroto told his wife about the power of the Saiyans, about how if a battle between the two races were to occur, it would be catastrophic. He told her that they needed to take their children and run, but Lara refused.

She wasn't going to abandon her home.

Taroto respected her decision and the two of them agreed that it would be best to send the children someplace where they would never be found until the time was right. Using a multiversal device that was in Taroto's pod when he arrived on the planet, he sent his two boys to two different universes, hoping they would be safe there until he and his wife could return to them.

Kyzo was sent to Earth-0, landing in Smallville, Kansas, being taken in by Jonathan and Martha Kent, a middle-aged couple who coincidentally had another alien child living with them. As for his brother's whereabouts, that would remain a mystery unsolved.

You may have seen my other book with the same characters. I tried making it about both twins but this one will just focus on Kyzo, my favorite of the two, rather than both.
