Mei pulled away from Yami's lips and slowly began to wake up, finding herself in a white room with the scent of disinfectant filling the air. She looked around uneasily, realizing she was in a white room, the kind of place that usually brought bad news. She was about to sit up when she felt an additional weight on her chest: Rukia was sleeping on her legs.
Yami watched Rukia as she breathed peacefully, resting on his lap. Seeing her so serene and calm brought him a comforting feeling. In that moment, Rukia whispered his name. Yami, upon hearing her, gently stroked her head and ruffled her hair. He was relieved that Rukia was safe.
Just then, Sirius made himself known in the room. "Good to see you're awake, Yami." Yami was startled but remained still, his soul almost leaving his body. "What are you doing here, Sirius?" he asked. "What do you mean, what am I doing here? I'm your godfather, and I'm your legal guardian for any trouble you get into. I'm responsible, Yami, what happened to you? Yesterday, when I received the call from the hospital, I was very worried about you. What do you think you were doing?" Sirius responded with concern.
"It wasn't me, it was that woman with blue hair and scars. She was fighting with Rukia, I had to defend her," Yami explained. Sirius nodded, understanding the situation. "I see, Yami. But it's better if we talk about this tomorrow. It's late, and you've been asleep for a whole day," he suggested. Yami looked at the clock and realized it was 10 PM. "I understand, Sirius. Sorry for worrying you," Yami replied with his head lowered. Sirius got up and approached the bed, giving Yami a light shoulder squeeze before saying, "Rest well, Yami. We'll talk about all this tomorrow, once you're discharged. Go to the mansion with Rukia, and I'll answer your questions about what happened to you there," he said as he exited the room.
Yami couldn't respond before Sirius slammed the sliding door shut. "Hey, you're supposed to heal me here, not hurt me," Yami protested. "Shut up, you deserved it," Rukia replied. The doctor interrupted the argument, saying, "Miss, please leave the room. I need to perform some checks on him. You'll probably be able to leave tomorrow morning." Rukia understood and left the room before the doctor closed the door. Yami shouted, "Goodbye, my love!" "Idiot..." Rukia couldn't finish her sentence as the doctor closed the door immediately.
The doctor continued, "Well, Yami, thank Sirius for calling me. Otherwise, you would be dead with regular doctors," said the mysterious person. "Do you know Sirius?" Yami asked, surprised. "What do you mean if I know him? He's my brother," she replied. "I didn't know Sirius had a sister, he never talks about you," Yami said. "Yes, that idiot always forgets about his family, but that's because of our mother, if you can call her that," she revealed. Seeing her expression, she decided not to delve into the topic and changed the subject. "Since he didn't tell me about you, Sirius, why don't you tell me your name?"
The person sighed and replied, "My name is Kusuri Black (photo in the comments)." "Nice to meet you, I'm Yami Yukihira," Yami said. "I already know, it was in your records," Kusuri replied. "Hey, how did you heal me if you said regular doctors couldn't save me?" Yami asked, intrigued. "Yes, any regular doctor couldn't have saved you, but I... I am in my own category because of my Manifestation," Kusuri boasted.
"Manifestation, is that what Rukia and the blue-haired girl used?" "No, you know what it is, but your parents were... Well, I've already healed you. Go and ask Sirius about this, and it will cost you 2 million." "What?!!! Why so expensive?" "I already told you, I'm a doctor in a unique class. But tell Sirius it will be 3 million, for forgetting about me until now and not answering my messages." "Thank you very much, Kusuri. Wait!" Yami took a piece of paper and wrote down his phone number. "Here, this is my number, so we can get to know each other, since at the end of the day, we're family." Kusuri's eyes widened. "... Well, I'm leaving. Tell him not to forget about my payment and my messages." She said with a smile, and Kusuri disappeared from the room, leaving Yami alone, thinking about what happened the day before but finding no answers to all his questions. Giving up, he went to sleep.
