CH401. I do not have a daddy

"Cute uncle, just tell it to me. I promise to keep it a secret," Little Liu Liu keeps nagging.

Lu Min Chen purses his lips. Who thought this child to talk too much?

"Have you heard, that the best way to tackle something is by sharing it to your confidant? You will feel better after that," Little Liu Liu adds.

With a final sigh, Lu Min Chen looks at her. "It is about my wife. I miss her a lot," he says.

But after saying it, he feels like he is stupid. Why is he even saying it to this little kid.

"Oh, grandpa mentioned it. You mean my auntie?" Liu Liu asks.

"Mmh, she is as cute as you. Her smile is the greatest in the world. But I cannot find her," Lu Min Chen says and looks at the ground.

He has been looking for her everyday. And he has not given up yet. 

Even if she might be dead, he wants to see her grave. And he might even dig it up to make sure that the skulls belong to her. Only then will he stop searching.

"Um...so sorry," Little Liu Liu says. "I am also alone now. Only my grandpa and you treat me well."

Lu Min Chen hugs her and looks at her face. " You are wrong, everyone loves you. You are a very cute kid..."

"Really?" Little Liu Liu looks up at him with anticipation.

"Really," Lu Min Chen nods back at her.

"Then...would you have loved me if I were your daughter?" She asks again.

And Lu Min Chen freezes. If she had been his daughter, wouldn't it have been the best?

That would mean that she would be Ye Xiao Xiao's daughter too. It would be great.

"I would have loved it so much!" Lu Min Chen says seriously. 

Little Liu Liu remains silent for a while, her eyes creased. Then she lifts up her face to look at Lu Min Chen.

"What is it?" Lu Min Chen asks her.

"Cute uncle, I do not have a daddy. Can we talk to grandpa? Maybe you can become my daddy from today?" She asks.

Behind the door, Ye Fu Chin who had been listening to the whole conversation freezes. 

These two, what are they up to? He is just from visiting her daughter. And he had the little kid begging Lu Min Chen to open up.

But never be would he have expected the child to ask such a thing.

From the first time he learnt that Ye Xiao Xiao's child was at the hospital, he did not hesitate to take her away.

He told himself that since he was not able to raise Ye Xiao Xiao, he would at least try doing it to her daughter.

And he had to fight to get her. He had thought of telling Lu Min Chen about her. 

However, he changed his mind when he realized that he knew nothing about it.

Maybe Ye Xiao Xiao wanted it kept a secret...
