CH396. Do you know who I am?

The girl on the bed slowly turns to look at the person at the door. And only confusion can be seen on her face.

Lin Mo moves closer to the bed, and he hugs her immediately. "You are finally awake!" He says happily.

However, he creases his brows when he notices how slow Ye Xiao Xiao is to react.

"Are you okay?" He asks. "Are you feeling uncomfortable anywhere? I will call the doctor."

"Where am I?" Ye Xiao Xiao asks her first question in confusion.

"At my home," Lin Mo replies. "Do not be worried, I will protect you. No one will harm you again."

Ye Xiao Xiao remains quiet. There are so many questions she would like to ask, but she does not know how to be start.

"Do you remember anything that happened that day?" Lin Mo asks her when she remains quiet. It looks like she is still in a trauma.

"What happened?" Ye Xiao blinks her eyes. She seems to have no clue about what Lin Mo is talking about.

Lin Mo remains quiet. He understands what that might have happened. He observes her for a while, then he holds her hand.

"Do you know who I am?" He asks calmly. But he is praying hard in his heart. He hopes that it is not what he is thinking.

Ye Xiao Xiao remains quiet for a long time, staring back at Lin Mo. She seems to be having a very strong fight with her inner self.

Then at last, she speaks up. "My brother?" She asks hopefully.

And Lin Mo sighs. "You do not remember anything, right?" He asks. 

Ye Xiao Xiao seems a bit disappointed. "Did I say it wrong?" She asks and looks away.

When she saw him when she opened her eyes, she knew that he must be someone important to her. But she could not tell who he is.

And she did not want to hurt him by telling him that she cannot remember him. 

And judging from the way he treated her, she assumed that it must be her brother. 

But now, it seems like she guessed wrong.

"No, not at all," Lin Mo says and hugs her. "I am your brother, okay?" 

He now gets it. She either lost her memories, or someone did something to her again.

And that reminds him of Lu Chong Mu. That is his character. He did it to her another time.

Anger rises in him again. And he wishes that he is able to kill that man right now!

How many more times in he going to be hurting her?

"Are you mad?" Ye Xiao Xiao asks and hugs him tightly. Did she do something to make him angry.

Lin Mo comes back to his senses and shakes his head immediately. Then he forces a smile.

"No! I am not mad. I am very happy that my little sister finally woke up. And I am the happiest that she remembers me!" He says, and Ye Xiao Xiao smiles back at him.
