CH350. His name is Fu Chin

"Are you okay?" Ye Fu Chin asks, looking at her gently. 

From the time she was two months old, this is the first time he is sitting close to her.

This is his daughter, his blood. And she is a result of his love to the woman he loved.

Ye Xiao Xiao nods her head. "Thank you for saving me," she says.

"No," the man says quickly. "This is what that I am supposed to be doing. It is my responsibility. You do not have to thank me."

Ye Xiao Xiao is shocked. It is his responsibility? Who is he to her?

"Why?" She asks. The man came and rescued her at the most critical time. 

The man looks outside the window for a long time. Something inside him wants him to tell her that he is her dad.

But he does not know how to put it. He does not know what reason to give for not being close to her all these years.

Can he say that he was trying to protect her?

But why didn't he come back when everything was safe. Why didn't he even tell that he is her dad?

Ye Xiao Xiao looks away too. She assumes that he is not going to give her the answer to that.

She should just be grateful that he is there to help her out when she needs help.

"Because I have to protect you," Ye Fu Chin says at last. That is  the only answer that he can give her for now.

"Hhm?" Ye Xiao Xiao looks at him. Then she understands that he has just answered what she had asked a while ago.

She nods her head at him, showing that she understands. All she wants now is to go back home. Maybe she will feel relaxed after seeing Lu Min Chen.

"You do not know who I am?" The man asks again. He just wants to embrace her now and tell her that to go back home with him.

But he knows that it is very impossible. He took so long while away. She is now married and someone's wife.

He cannot ask her to stay with him.

And who knows? She might even get so mad at him if she learns that he is her dad.

Both he and her mom abandoned her as a kid and left her in the hands of strangers.

Ye Xiao Xiao looks at him once again. She begins getting confused with the way the man is thinking.

But still, she answers him. She wants to know who he is. She wants to know why he is helping her.

"Who are you?" She asks.

Ye Fu Chin looks into her eyes, trying to find out what she is thinking. 

"I am Fu Chin," he says, excluding his surname. He cannot expose that now if he wants to live in peace.

"Ooh," Ye Xiao Xiao says. His name is Fu Chin. So her saviour's name is Fu Chin...

"I will protect you from today onwards," the man says out of the blue.
