CH303. You have to stay alive to protect your sister

He thought that maybe his dad got guilty because his mom died before they could talk things out.

And it was because of Little Xiao Xiao. ' No one wants her,' he had said to himself and wiped off his tears.

He told himself that he will find the orphanage she was taken too. And that he would protect her.

If her parents did not want her, then he would be there for her.

However, everything changed that night.

They had just gone to bed. No one had said a word to the other.

His dad was still mourning his wife's death. He loved her a lot. It was just the child that had seperated them.

And he, Lin Mo, was mad because he had abandoned the child. He did not understand what difference it made.

He was sad, of course, his mom was dead. But that child was his sister.

What was the need of his dad taking her away after his mom was already dead?

But then, there came large knocks on the door. He had creased his brows.

He wanted to go and open it, but his dad came out first. "Do not go," he had stopped him.

"Dad?" Lin Mo had asked, but he stopped when he sensed that his dad seemed disturbed.

The knocks on the door turned into bangs. And soon, it was obvious that the door was being broken down.

"Thugs?" Lin Mo had asked in fear. "Dad, let us call the police!"

"We cannot, they are not just thugs. They are more dangerous than those police men."

"Why are they here?" Lin Mo had asked. "Let us run away dad."

"We cannot. They have sorrounded us," his dad had said.

Then all of a sudden, he hugged him. "Ting, I love you. I love you so much. You have to stay alive to protect your sister. They are here because of her. They want to kill her."

"Um...dad? But she is not here anymore," Lin Mo had said while trembling.

"They think she is here. And they should never know where she is. Ting, stay alive for us. Fight for her...please..."

He had carried him and taken him to the toilet. Then he forced him into a pipe. "Run once you get a chance," he had said and forced a paper into his hands. "No one should find out about that."

"Dad, what about you?" He had asked worriedly, holding tightly onto him. Tears were already falling from his eyes.

"Go! Remember your sister," the man had said.

Then there was a loud bang, and the door was broken down.

Lin Mo had stayed in the pipe while trembling. And for some reason, he knew that his dad was going to die too.

He wanted to get out when it was evident that his dad was being beaten. But he remembered about his sister.

What his dad said was close to begging. And he asked him to protect her.

"Search the house, he has a son too," one of the people had said.
