CH248. Is it Lin Mo?

His clothes are dishevelled, and his hair unkempt due to the number of times that he has run his hands through it.

The guards hesitate for a while before one calls the house phone.

Butler Hu picks it up, and he tells them to wait for his response.

Lin Mo walks back to his car and leans against the door, his eyes fixed at the gate.

He is trembling, not sure if Ye Xiao Xiao will come out.

And he is also a bit scared that he does not know exactly what to say to her once she comes out.

But he still hopes that she does. He wants to hear her call him brother Mo sweetly again.

Lu Min Chen is in his work when there is a knock on his study door.

"Mmh," he forces out a reply and continues staring at his computer screen. 

Butler Hu gently opens the door and walks in. "Young master, there is someone at the door who claims to be Miss Ye's friend. He wants to see her."

Lu Min Chen sits up and looks at Butler Hu. "Is it Lin Mo?" He asks.

The Butler nods. They had enquired about his name ealier.

Lu Min Chen sits still for a moment. "She is sleeping, and she does not want to see anybody now."

The bulter nods in understanding. He knows that his master never wants to be questioned. Whatever he says is usually right, no matter the circumstances.

After he has left, Lu Min Chen leaves his study and walks to the balcony facing the gate. 

And sure, there is him, Lin Mo, with a dishevelled look waiting by his car 

His emotions become complicated. Lin Mo is back to look for Ye Xiao Xiao again. 

He does not want to let him see her. He remembers her saying that marrying Lin Mo was better than marrying him.

And he gets scared that she might want to leave with Lin Mo if she learns that he is here.

He stands at the balcony for a long time, hoping that the man goes away, but nothing of the sort happens.

It is only later that Lu Min Chen walks back to his room, where Ye Xiao Xiao is sleeping. She has been sleeping for a very long time. And she has not eaten anything since yesterday night.

Her eyes are still shut tightly, but he freezes when he sees her sweaty head. Is she feeling hot from covering herself this much?

He quickly pulls away the covers, and he freezes to see her clothes clinging onto her body. She has been sweating a lot.

"Mmh..." Ye Xiao Xiao moans and tries to move when she feels a little comfortable, but her eyes remain tightly shut.

Lu Min Chen realises how pale she looks, and his heart begins beating first. He hopes that nothing is wrong with her.

He places his palm on her forehead, and he retrieves it immediately. So hot! 

Has she gotten fever?
