Prologue: A White line in the world of nothingness

Year 2415

The figure of a young man with long blonde hair floated in the sky.

His long blonde hair swayed gently due to the wind blowing them.

His upper body was bare revealing his broad shoulders and well-toned muscles.

He was shrouded by a bright white light that kept dimming with every passing second.

His eyes were also glowing with a bright white light, making it seem like they were removed from their sockets and replaced with a bright white bulb.

However, just like the light around his body, the light in his eyes also kept dimming.

His eyelids trembled slightly as his eyes took in the massive destruction in his surroundings.

A whirling pool of darkness extended across the sky, it stirred violently, plunging the earth into darkness.

Lightning flashed across the now dark skies, causing powerful rumbling sounds that shook the earth'a core.

The ground was riddled with cracks that extended up to thousands of miles.

Everywhere was buried in thick rubble; majority of it were huge broken chunks of the earth, while some were building debris.

A thick, dense fog covered the whole earth and the crisp aroma of smoke permeated the atmosphere.

However, that wasn't the strangest thing; the strange thing about all this destruction were the green pixel-like particles that floated around.

They were everywhere, moving randomly like gas particles before slowly vanishing.

The ground and the skies also slowly disintegrated, leaving nothing but green pixel-like particles.

The speed was slow at first, but it gradually became faster… and faster…

"You… What have you done?!!" A loud shout reverberated in the area, breaking the former silent and solemn atmosphere.

The person who shouted was a man with long grey hair that contained short streaks of green between them.

His bright green eyes shone brightly as he stared at the blonde-haired man ahead of him.

Just like the blonde-haired man, he was also floating in the sky, except he was in worse condition.

Veins bulged out of his head and his fists were clenched tightly to the extent that his knuckles paled greatly.

"Ohh you're still here." The blonde-haired man said nonchalantly. He squinted his eyes slightly as he observed the grey-haired man.

A slight chuckle escaped his lips as he said, "Still fighting it hun…?"

A mocking smirk spread across his lips as he slowly muttered, "it's pointless…"

Although his voice was low, the grey-haired man was still able to catch his words.

He clenched his teeth as he tried his best to hold the pain raging through his body.

He didn't want to admit it but he knew the blonde-haired man was… right.

"That's the problem with 'your kind'… always causing problems…" The grey-haired man said with a wistful smile.

Just as he finished those words, the bright green glow in his eyes suddenly dimmed as his fingers started disintegrating into bright green particles.

It was slow at first, but the speed rapidly sped up and his whole body disintegrated few seconds later.

The green pixel-like particles swayed in the wind for sometime before slowly dispersing.

A strange expression flashed through the blonde-haired man eyes, he sighed while calmly waiting for his inevitable fate.

'You make it seem like I'm the villain here… meanwhile… you're the cause of everything, I'm only trying to save my world and the people in it… the people I care about…' He said inwardly.

At this point, everything had disappeared… the ground, the skies.

The only thing that remained in its place were the vanishing green particles. They floated in the vast world of nothingness, creating a comical scene.

Just then, a frown appeared on the blonde-haired man's face. "Strange… I'm still here…" He mumbled.

He should have also turned into green particles just like the rest of the world but for some reason, nothing was happening.

His eyes suddenly widened as he realised something.

He hurriedly raised his right hand to his eye level and then stared intensely at it.

His eyes widened even more as he finally noticed something.

Just below his elbow, there was a weird white crack.

It seemed like a crack on a glass surface but what made it strange was that it wasn't on a surface but rather on a human body.

Inside the crack was a bright white light, it looked like the white light was about to spill out of him.

It would have reflected out of his body if not for the fact that it was overshadowed by the white light shrouding him.

'Shit! I thought doing this would solve the problem…' The blonde-haired man cursed inwardly.

As if the situation couldn't get any worse, the crack slowly started spreading. More cracks appeared on his upper arm and lower arm.

The light contained in them glowed intensely, making his right arm shine brightly with white light.

'I can't stop it anymore… it's too late…' He sighed as he finally stopped trying to resist.

Although the white light seemed to be forcing itself out of his body, he surprisingly didn't feel any pain. Rather, he felt energized like he was brimming with energy.

However, he knew that didn't lessen the danger and severity of the situation.

The speed at which the cracks spread around his body increased and it didn't take long before it got to his face.

The light brimmed and trembled violently for a few seconds as if to show its joy at finally leaving its 'confinement'.

It shone brightly from the many cracks on his body; it was so bright that the eyes of a normal person could explode by simply staring at him—even if it was for just a second.

"Well… shit." He mumbled with a wry smile.

Just as he said those words, his body bursted into little fragments of white light.

Although his body literally exploded, there was no sign of blood, what remained were the small fragments of light that floated slowly.

The small pieces of light slowly danced in the vast world of nothingness.

Unlike the green particles which slowly disappeared, they showed no sign of vanishing, in fact, they only seemed to shine brighter with every passing second.

After floating for a few minutes, all the white particles suddenly paused their movements. They then vibrated for a few seconds before moving closer to each other.

It was as if a magnet was attracting them.

As they came together, the white fragments resonated with one another and they slowly merged to form a single white line.

The white line was about five meters in length and five centimetres in width.

It danced in a slightly curved motion for sometime before suddenly shooting forward like a jet.

As it moved, it dragged or rather attracted the few scattered green particles to it. The green particles rushed towards it just as iron rushed towards a magnet.

They rapidly merged with it also, but even after attracting the green particles the strange white line didn't slow down.

In the vast world of darkness and emptiness, a strange white line moved around at astonishing speed.

As for its destination… no one knew…
