New dorm!
A few days have passed since then.
Though he had not attempted to go out and talk to Shiina Mahiru in public, Kaiya had felt Shirakawa Luna's gaze on him a few times, and even the angel of his class was beginning to notice him, which made him feel a little bit happier.
However, he had been considering going to see Shiina Mahiru again for a quick talk or not.
'That is rather hard.' When Kaiya was in his deep thought, he did not notice that his friend Itsuki was calling him from the side, while Itsuki itself was starting to feel some changes in his best friend lately.
Not to mention, he speculated that Kaiya's changes might have something to do with the girl from the mixer because Kaiya was getting his clothes ironed correctly every day.
"Oi, do you want to grab something to eat?" After some time, Itsuki became enraged and gave Kaiya a backslap. This caused Kaiya to recoil, nearly toppling over, when he realized Itsuki was standing next to him.
"Sorry, I did not hear what you said!" Kaiya grinned, thinking how he had been overthinking things too much.
"I said. Want to grab something to eat?" Concerned about eating, Kaiya also experienced a slight gloom in his belly. He nodded to his friend and glanced around, noticing that other members of the Itsuki group were absent. He asked Itsuki if the others would not be joining him.
"Oh, they had something to do." Itsuki shook his head and explained that they had become engrossed in a particular game, adding that he had been by himself for some time.
"Haha! Then! Wanna hang out together? It might be fun to go and hit some arcades."
"Now that's what I wanted to hear out." Itsuki cheered up while Kaiya bitterly rubbed his back, which might have been starting to swell due to Bastard slapping that place again.
'After all, currently, I don't think I will be lacking in finance part.' Gazing down at his pocket-sized smartphone, Kaiya grinned as he considered how having sex with Rui had not only sated his desire but also earned him $500K through the app itself.
'Grand total of 75 million yen.'
'Right! A large amount.'
'I am back!' As Kaiya entered the quiet apartment, a small smile appeared on his face. He sat on his bed and touched his stomach, remembering that they had barbecued together today. His smartphone rang, and he saw that his mother was calling, so he answered.
"Mom!" Kaiya called his mother, his voice a little choked, and it made him feel a little nostalgic because, after all this time spent alone, he realized how happy he was with them.
"Kai! What happened? Don't tell me you feel lonely without us, right? After all, my baby has become so big now!"
The familiar voice of the mother made Kaiya feel happy, as he hummed a little and cleared his throat when his mother told him how they found a nice place for him and that he should start packing from his apartment since they will be here tomorrow.
"Oh, alright!" After a short while, Kaiya got out of bed and began tidying the room. He then packed up the majority of his clothes, gathering the ones he had worn previously in a basket for washing.
"Good!" After completing everything, Kaiya grabbed the basket and left the apartment to wash his clothes at the nearby laundromat.
But for some reason, Kaiya had a feeling that something was about to change, though there was no concurrent reason behind it.
Still, something within Kaiya was screaming out to be careful.
He had no idea that the feelings he was experiencing that night were actually a warning sign for the romantic comedy life that was about to enter his life. Before he knew it, he would undergo a number of changes in both his outlook and his way of thinking.

"Hello mom, yeah, I am done packing and have taken a shower too." Walking down, he found the carrier agency truck and a boy around his age waiting for him.
While Kaiya helped them get the things down, Kaiya only carried his suitcase since his mother told him that the place she had rented for him would provide him with drinking and eating facilities. Therefore, all he would need to bring with him would be his school supplies and clothes, and the location was conveniently close to his school.
"Mom!" Getting to the station, Kaiya met his mother, who looked as thin as ever, but her complexion was getting much better than before, along with his father, who was once a basketball player and was also a kendo teacher.
"Kai! Look at this; have you thinned out?" Although the mother's worries never go away, Kaiya shook his head and felt somewhat at ease in her presence while Mikoto kicked her husband and touched her son's face.
"See, I said it was a bad idea to send him here alone." All the blame was placed on Matsuo, who just gave a bitter smile before patting Kaiya's shoulder and laughing as he felt his son's shoulder tighten.
"Haha! You had been training as always, I see; that is a good thing. Also, don't hear your mother clibber! You look straight now."
Upon hearing his father's words, Kaiya grinned bitterly, reflecting that it was the first thing he had said since they had last spoken so long ago.
"It's alright, old man. Mom, I am healthy, though I have been working out, so I might look a bit thin, but I have gained weight." Mikoto thought Kaiya's voice had grown up and had a nice quality, but she also thought Kaiya was no longer the precious child she once knew.
"It is good then, so shall we go? I heard Sumiko-san is waiting for us." Mikoto urged, while Matsuo patted Kaiya's shoulder as they walked to book a taxi for the dorm.
"Kawai dorm has a unique and nice feel to it. So, I am sure you will like it there, Kai!" While traveling, Kaiya's mother informed him about the dorm and made him laugh when she told him about the tenant that Lady Sumiko, the dorm manager, had told her about.
'Why does it feel like I have heard, read, or seen something about that dorm.' Although Kaiya had experienced similar feelings previously, this was the first time he had had a clear, vague image of a girl; it was also similar to Shiina Mahiro's case too.
