8 Chapter 8: Hero’s Chronicle, Jared Arcane and Monopolies.

Glass drank tea under the pavilion of Hall estate, and she had been intensely reading the report in her hand. Mayuri had been brushing her soft hair silver hair, and it seems more than anything else in the world Mayuri loved brushing. Sara kept refilling her cup and enjoyed the view of the garden from where she was at.

Her Little brother walked past in full conversation with their father before he saw her and ran full speed towards her in a tight hug. His abrupt embrace made Mayuri stop brushing her hair and Glass nearly slip her tea on the paper around her.

"Sister!"

Sara saw the enthusiasm of the younger hall, while, Mayuri looked at him with an annoyed expression.

"Glass"

Glass turned her head to her father as she seemingly understood that it was time for her future fiancé to visit her. Before she went into a coma, her marriage was already being discussed. The King had enforced the engagement at the time when he found out her natural elements where the rare Dark and Light.

She stood up after Breton let go of her.

Sara collected the scattered report on the table.

"Return it to my room, I'll see to the rest later "

She said as she followed her father to the main room, Breton wasn't allowed to follow, he was reluctantly taken away by one of the maids.

When Glass walked into the main room, she saw firsthand the Third Prince, Jared Arcane. He and Henry look nothing alike, although they were both somewhat good-looking. Henry had softer features while

Jared's where dared to.

Jared looked at Glass and frowned harshly as if he didn't like her. It only took one look to read people for Glass, Jared was no different as she looked at him.

'What an Arrogant Child'

Mayuri noted Glass cold expression become colder as she looked in furry at the child who is to become her favorite person's fiancé, and not only that cause her displeasure.

"You have guts to keep me, a prince, waiting" Was the first thing Jared said to her. Making Glass, Mayuri and her father's expression darken.

Glass turned to her father and nodded at him. Seeing that his daughter with handle things politely he left for his study to finish his work.

"Are you going to ignore the prince!" another voice popped up. He was a child about the same age as Jared.

"And who are you to talk to my lady any way you wish," Mayuri said.

"How dare a mere maid talk to my servant like this" the prince stood up in a fury. Glass said nothing as she sat down on the sofa opposite of him with no expression.

"You do not get to sit down before greeting me properly."

"May, tea please," Glass said to Mayuri who didn't hesitate to leave the room with an angry expression. She wanted to kill those brats, but her Miss's orders were more important than any feeling she had.

"You dare to ignore me."

"I do."

"What?!"

"Prince Jared, May I remind you whose house you are in, do you wish to make enemies out of our household" Glass looked at the prince calmly and then to the one behind him. "Anders Lysidine, a mere chief's Knight Child, dares to talk to down to a member of the Duke's family like this," She said with a chilling calmness to him.

"YOU!" Jared's face was extremely red. His father had told him to make friends with this girl. But she was too rude, and she made him wait. Anyone who had the audacity to make him wait, can be considered an insult to the royal family is what his mother had told him. And now this girl is talking down to him.

"You dare to threaten the royal family"

"When have I dared to threaten the royal" Mayuri walked into the room with a cart of tea and snakes, Sara had joined her with a book and a smile, which made Jared angrier.

Mayuri had laid a tea before Glass who had not taken her eyes of Jared "Its more like the royal family has threatened us with violence." She gentle brought the drink to her lips with on hand, right now she was the picture-perfect lady.

"Maid, why don't you serve me tea?" Jared question Mayuri who made no notion to move.

"Stop deflecting your attention; your Highness" Glass said as he put her cup back down.

"Your rudeness has no limits, and I shall go tell my father. Look forward to your punishments" Jared had stood up and left the room.

"What an arrogant Brat," Mayuri and Sara said at the same time.

"Sara, can you bring me back the report, it seems I suddenly have enough time to read the rest." Glass brought a handkerchief to her mouth "May, the tea this time is less then pleasing. Pleasure get rid of it and bring me coral water instead. The two nodded in response as they left the room leaving Glass by herself.

A few months after the Belvin Village and Barron Maxton, Glass had Tally build the East Trade Company. She wanted to start her focus in the Blue province, since it was the poorest province in the country. It also had a lot of decent unused land, which was very inexpensive to buy, Glass had made purchase for nearly all of it. It was unfortunate that she had to use her father's money, but she made sure to tell him that she'll pay the money back.

With the land deeds she the first store was built one a week later, it was called 'Collection' The first line of products that were produced consisted of 10 aromatic perfumes for both men and women. A month later sales where their highest, it was at that time she brought out 20 more new products that were of the cosmetic type which was blush, foundation and lipstick. And now within three weeks sales hit one million gold.

It was at this time she decided to have Deacon separated from the guards and build something of a mercenary guild which would supply the protection for the store. Mercs and Bodyguards was the eventual name for the guild. She had used the third largest land she had purchased to make the building, this building stood 1 mile away from 'Collection'.

Glass had told Deacon that if he had any friends that were looking for a stable job, he could bring them in. It turns out Deacon had a lot of friends. About 50 of his friends joined the guild and where trained to his standard. He seemed so proud of them too.

After two months of the products being sold out. Glass decided to go ahead with the plans to build a factory and a café.

The Factory took up the largest land she had and would need more protection than the other location. It consisted of the factory building itself a residency complex for the workers and lots of walls. Security was the strictest. As well as a man-made lake. This factory not only took many of the homeless off the streets but provided the nearby towns with good drinking water.

As for the café, it was called 'Very Sweet,' at first. It wasn't as popular since the store was directly across from 'Collection.' It started getting recognition when the employees walked outside with refreshments to sell to the waiting people in line.

Coral water, in simple terms it was a drink filled with many vitamins and minerals, it was called coral due to rainbows reflecting in the clear water. It became the number one beverage to drink after many customers felt their health and skin improve, other than the taste that is.

Now that Both 'Collection' and 'Very Sweet' was very stable. It was time to add more stores as there was still more homeless and unemployed people who needed jobs.

'Oasis Hotel' was built on the fourth largest land, it was a beautiful building and considered unique to the population. As well as another Complex for Employees that was built on another land. The building could house many people and was the first in the country to introduce elevators. The tall unique building how made to accommodate over a thousand people. The Hotel almost nearly took up the remained population of the town as employees.

The report she was reading was how the sale was going for the two stores, the guild members training, or how might recruits — the factory's production line and how may be a product where being produced a day. And the hotel's activity in guest and other various things.

Her father was interested in the company that seemed to be raising as he asked all sorts of questions and sometimes even took a look at some of the reports that where sent to her from Tally.

'One of the best things about this era in time is the monopolies.'

She thought as she drank the coral water Mayuri had given her and then looked deeply at the reports in her hands with a smile.
