Mana Bullets With a Million Arms: Arma Millions

The White Heron is a story about the journey of Sol in a world driven by beasts from history, mythology, and absurdity... But it was also Mon's favorite work. He loved it so much that he decided to write a fan-fiction with him being the main character of the story. Although it seems like, this story was closer than reality...

Holic

I bid farewell to Daniel and the others, as I head to the dorms. I hold the lens that Jean gave me as I analyze it, as this was probably one of the most important gadgets that currently exists. Some could even say, this was the thing that pushed the Humans this far. I was actually planning to buy one of these with the money I just got, but it seems like they were giving them for free... or was there a price for this? Well, I don't really mind that much as this was non-other than the Holic, a device that has the same ability as a normal smartphone, like accessing messages, checking the time, browsing the internet, and pretty much most of the original smartphone features, except it utilizes augmented reality. This device is necessary for everyone, as each person could put their own identity cards in the Holic. If you want to buy something you typically use the item. I could also finally turn the 10k I just got to the bank, I have a Holic now after all. The Holic also has upgrades in which you could add more features, like utilizing the Public information to see the ranks, abilities, and descriptions of not only the monsters but also the Hunters alike. This was an incredible upgrade to the Holic, but its price was also just as high as its advantages.

Mine still seems like it needs to get activated, so I hurried on to the dorms. I arrived at another gate which was less grand than the main gate, but it doesn't make it not grand. I walk towards the receptionist standing in the room beside the gate as I knock on the glass. I caught their attention so I immediately showed them my unactivated Holic.

The activation of the Holic was relatively easy. The only hard part was that I had to drop a hint of blood on the lens, which somehow vanished the moment it hit the lens. The pricking was a little scary but I just imagined it as a needle or syringe, which was worse but it helped me relax. But other than that, the process went smoothly.

" Just put it in front of your eye, and the Student Holic should work, " The receptionist said as she handled me back my Holic. I did what she told me, and surely enough, it just hovered in front of my right eye. The Holic works, with touch even if it's augmented reality. You could hold the tabs, scroll up for the time, open up a browser, etc.

Anyways, as the time was also written in the Holic, I learned that I only have an entire week left, before the Lair gets found out. I had to hurry if I want to claim the loot for myself.

...

" You will be staying at.... the Tiger building, Mr. Mon " The receptionist finally assigned me my dorm and room number.

Haaaa... I was looking forward to the dorms, but really? the Tiger building? If I remember correctly was the dormitory for 1* Students or pretty much the Dorm for weak ones. And as they don't really get much investment back, the Tiger dorm was less developed than the others. Besides, it's also a motivation factor... I guess. Hopefully, it's not that horrible.

I arrived at the building, and it seemed fine to me. It looked like a normal apartment in the 21st century. Although, it's still probably horrible considering the other dorms and the current state of technology.

Well, I've lived in these for 5 years when I was attending college so this was not a problem for me. At least, I have the room for myself.

I arrived at my room, and it was a studio type. everything's pretty much in one room, and there's a little bathroom at the side.

Anyways, as much as I wanted to explore and check every nook and cranny there is I was too tired from all of the events that happened earlier. I just wanted to take a rest and leave the rest for tomorrow.

As tomorrow's gonna be the day I turn this weak ability, into something unstoppable...

...

Waking up in the same place, felt as surreal as yesterday. This was now my reality, and it seemed permanent. Although, as much as I love this world and its story, living in it was another factor at hand.

If I wanna survive, and actually be a part of the storyline, I could only be stronger, and better. I knew this fact and I knew that I had to take some risks, to do so, but doing it was a completely different thing.

As much as I was trying to push myself to move and grow stronger, the doubts, plus the experience yesterday was stopping me from doing so. I was living such a normal life before this. I don't how I was adapting so quickly even. Was it my immense love for the story? or was It my acting experience?

But nonetheless, I had to give it my all... Something I wasn't able to do for the longest time...

The dreadful smell of the hospital, and the dying body of my...

" It's 8am Mon, It's 8am Mon, It's 8am Mon"

My Holic's alarm thankfully distracted me from remembering those dreadful times. At least, I know how to do better now.

...

As I finished getting ready, I immediately went outside to look for the things that will help me in conquering this Lair. As I already know the details on what the Lair's gonna be, I already knew what I needed to complete this. I still needed the courage, but opportunity waits for no one.

As much as I preferred taxis and other personal public transport, I didn't have enough change nor do they, to send me to Freed so I went to the Train station, even though I wasn't used to it, probably because of my fame in the original world.

Well, that didn't exist in this world. I probably have more infamy than fame now that I think about it...

Anyways, the train station was pretty much the same as that in the modern world, I mean why would you need to advance your train station when you have other better things to focus on such as surviving the world in the first place.

But nonetheless, the train was at least better and faster than normal. It looked the same, but it felt more comfortable and quick.

Arriving at Freed still felt special, the number of hunters littered around was amazing. Those with unique abilities look surreal. Some had 4 arms, some had hair made of vines, and there was even one who was the size of 2 people stacked together.

They all were browsing the store carrying different types of equipment. Well, I didn't come here to look at hunters so I immediately went on my way. I immediately went to a Holic store as I needed to buy the upgrades necessary not only for this expedition but in general.

" Hello, could I get the tier 3 upgrade for the Holic? " I asked the sellers standing behind the table.

...

The upgrade cost a lot, nearly half of my budget was spent already. It was worth it though as I could finally do this.

" Analyze," I say as I look at my hands. As I do so, a floating thin piece of tablet erupted from where I was looking at. In it where the basic information a Hunter would need to assess some necessary information to someone.
