72 Chapter 72

"Um, yeah, I forgot all about that." I admitted to Caly.

She didn't seem surprised. Instead she just gave me a cheeky grin.

"Will those things his family gave him really help us?" Megan asked.

Caly nodded. "I said it once before. Mana stones are one of the most commonly used items to advance your core. It takes a while for them to form, and the locations that they form usually have something special about them, but they are still the most common resource available."

"And I would bet that our world hasn't even started to form any." Karen stated.

Caly shrugged. "Maybe?" she said. "Honestly I have no idea what the conditions are for the formation of mana stones. If anyone in my family knew, they didn't pass the information down to me."

"Could you ask your parents?" Karen asked me.

"Uh, I could." I said though I didn't really want to. I still wasn't happy with my father, and the changes in my mother were too big to fast. Which reminded me that I still needed to ask Caly about that. Despite my feeling on the issue I pulled my phone out and sent a text to each of them. I had no idea if either were still in this world, but it wouldn't hurt to try, just in case.

"Does it matter?" Caly asked, looking to Karen.

"Wouldn't it be good if we could simulate the conditions for mana stones in the haven Daryl is going to make?" Karen asked in return.

"Oh, yeah, but… how should I say it." Caly said then went quiet for a moment. "The spatial folding ability doesn't really create a haven as it hides our hiding place? Does that make sense?" she asked.

We were all quiet for a couple of minutes before Karen and Megan looked at me. "Spatial Folding?" I asked.

Smacked her forehead. "Oh, right, I never told you the name of the ability that I wanted you to try for." Caly said

Again we were all silent for a moment causing Caly to look back and forth between us. "What?" she asked.

"Uh, was it Spatial Folding? Or was it Spatial Plane?" I asked her.

Caly smiled. "Spatial Place would definitely be better if I had to choose, but….wait, how do you even know about….No way!" Caly yelled the last couple of worlds before she launched herself at me again.

I reacted faster this time, catching her in my arms while spreading out my legs to balance her weight. Her lips were just as soft as before but she herself was much more enthusiastic than she had been before.

"Wow girl, I get that you are excited, but can't you wait for a better time?" Karen asked.

Reluctantly Caly released me but the fire in her eyes was even greater than before and her gaze didn't leave me as she stepped back. "Five Daryl. You are going to give me at least five."

I wasn't completely sure what she was talking about.

"That is a lot." Karen commented.

"I wouldn't want that many." Megan added.

"Spatial abilities are usually hereditary. It's the reason my family wanted to form an alliance with his." Caly explained.

Oh, she meant, wow that is a lot. I thought as I shook my head a bit flustered.

"You might have broken him." Megan commented.

The girls all laughed together.

"Focus girls." I told them.

"Master!" Sil yelled as she appeared from nowhere in her cat form.

"Trouble!" Delilah added as she leapt out of my shadow.

"Seems I missed a few things." Caly said looking at Sil.

"What is it?" I asked the pair as Enya joined us but stayed quiet, pouting like a petulant child.

"That other house, visitors showed up an hour ago, but they started to argue and it's getting really heated." Delilah replied.

"Other house?" I asked.

"There was one house that didn't accept Bill's invitation." Delilah replied quickly, her tail waving around anxiously.

"Are you afraid they are going to change into twisted?" I asked.

"Yes." Delilah replied.

"Master! Monsters are coming." Sil announced.

"What?" I asked with my eyes going wide as I looked at the cat. I had assumed that came to me about the same issue, I never thought they would both have bad news.

"I spotted them when I was scouting. It's a large group of monstrous satyrs, from what I could see there were at least five greater satyrs and ten or more lesser." Sil announced.

"Satyrs? Those horny goat guys that play pipes?" Megan asked, confused.

"No, that does not match the satyrs I know, but these are monstrous satyrs. They are more beastial in appearance and nature." Sil replied. "They have not reached this housing area, but they are headed in this direction."

"Damn it. Come on." I said then headed up the stairs followed closely by the girls.

"I was hoping you would make it back up here soon." Micheal said when he saw me. "We were hoping you would join us in that supply run."

"We have other issues first." I said then called Bill over from where he was watching one of the laptops with a serious look. Once he joined me I explained what I had been told to the two of them.

"That would be old Walter and his family. They had their grandchildren over when I invited them, but they refused. Maybe it was his son that showed up?" Bill said as he thought about it. "Can you handle the monsters?" he asked looking at me.

"Sil? Delilah?" I asked unsure how to answer. It sounded like there were a lot of them, and I still wasn't very skilled in using my powers.

"It would be difficult even with the three of us. If Master summons the rest of his elementals, we should be able to handle them." Sil commented.

Delilah was silent so I thought she wasn't going to say anything, but she spoke before I could reply. "I am not sure if that will be enough. Greater satyrs are more cunning, and usually intelligent enough to learn magic based abilities of their own." Delilah said finally.

"She has a point." Caly said. "Sil, can you go and check on their location. If we get lucky they will get distracted by something and head elsewhere."

Sil looked at me, and after seeing me nod she disappeared.

"I will go talk to old man Walter and his family. I can ask Marshal to go with me, he seemed to be on good terms with them. Call us if you need help." Bill announced then headed out the front door.

"While we wait for her news from them, you should summon the other elementals. They will be a great help to you, not just now, but later when you are learning to use your abilities." Caly went on once they left.

I nodded then took a deep breath and started to draw on water energy. As soon as I did the air around us began to feel more humid as the water energy gathered around me. After several moments a ring of water formed in the air in front of me. It spun like a whirlpool for several moments before a large dark blue drop of water dropped out of the ring. Then the ring disappeared. A moment later the dark blue drop grew in size then shifted its shape into a three feet tall woman with a perfect figure, dark blue feathery wings, and waist length dark blue hair. Her figure is barely concealed by a dark blue bikini.

"And I thought Enya was bad with her ball gown." Megan muttered.

"That was… amazing." Heather said from where she was sitting at the dining room table. The others in the room all nodded while looking impressed.

"Greetings human, I am Ariel the water elemental." the blue haired water fairy.

Karen and Megan looked at me but I held my hands up. "I didn't name her." I defended myself.

"Is there an issue with my name?" the blue winged elemental asked warily.

"No." I reassured her. "Before we speak about a contract I have others to summon." I told her.

Ariel nodded then backed away and began to look around the room.

Reassured that she wouldn't become a problem, at least not immediately. I began to draw on the earth energies. The energy gathered even faster than the water and soon a ring of sand was spinning in front of me. Moments later a large clump of bark brown dirt fell through the ring then the ring disappeared.

Like Ariel the lump of dirt quickly grew and then shifted into a brown winged fairy with long brown hair pulled back into a ponytail. Thankfully she was wearing a pair of loose brown shorts and t-shirt.

"Well that is five for five, Daryl you can't deny your type anymore." Karen teased me.

I ignored her as the earth elemental fairy stared at me then looked around the room at all those present. Her gaze landed on my shadow for several long moments then came back to me. "I am not sure I want to be a part of this mess." she stated calmly. "Delilah, it's been a while. I am not sure I should congratulate you for achieving your wish.

Delilah reappeared from my shadow. "Elmera, it has been a long while. It was by my choice. Master still isn't aware of what I have done, though I seem to be leading the other summons he had to do the same." she said, sounding a bit sad.

"Oh? Interesting, your master must be an interesting one for them to even consider it." Elmera stated.

"Uh, I still have one more to summon." I spoke up.

"Ah, I apologize. I am Elmera the earth elemental. I will wait for you to finish then we can speak." Elmera said introducing herself.

I nodded then quickly began to draw on the light energies.

"Wait, is he able to summon all the elements?" Elmera asked with wide eyes.

"Yes." Delilah replied.

The light formed a ring which spun faster than any of the others before. Then a bright ray of light flew out of the ring before it disappeared. Moments later a golden haired fairy with golden feathered wings appeared. Her body type was similar to all the others except she wore a simple white dress. She was the first of the elementals to wear an outfit that wasn't the same color as their hair.

"Hello human. I am Aura, a light elemental!" the light elemental fairy stated cheerfully.
