After the goal, everyone looked at Axel in shock that he had scored against the Royal Academy, known as the best team in the country.
Hikari looked at all the players who were struggling to get up.
"Well, we've got what we want, we're leaving now," Jude said, looking at Axel before turning to leave without paying attention to anyone.
Seeing the Royal Academy leave, Hikari sat down on the bench and waited for everyone to get up.
"Wow, Hikari, you're really strong, even though I expected that from your stop earlier," Celia said with a big smile.
"Thank you," Hikari replied, watching the Raimon players laughing among themselves.
"It's unbelievable to think that this team didn't even have 11 players yesterday and now they manage to score a goal against the Royal Academy," Celia said before walking towards the team.
Hikari didn't sit on the bench for long before leaving to go home.
When he arrived home, Hikari saw that no one was there because his mother was working at the hospital, so he decided to go straight to his room to play the console and then sleep when he got tired.
The next day
Hikari had just gotten up and was having breakfast by himself since his mother hadn't returned from the hospital yet.
After finishing breakfast, Hikari went straight to Raimon College, thinking about what to do now that he had joined Raimon's team.
"EH Hikari," a voice shouted behind him, making him turn around.
Looking back, he saw that Mark was calling his name.
"Oh hi Mark," Hikari said as he continued walking with Mark who had caught up with him.
"Hahaha you were great yesterday, the way you controlled the ball to say that the ball was a part of your body .... OUCH," Mark said as he tried to imitate Hikari's control with the ball in his hand.
"Your technique to stop the ball was also incredible," Hikari replied as he helped Mark to his feet.
The two continued on their way to Raimon College without any problems.
When they arrived at the school, Mark and Hikari separated as they were not in the same class.
Hikari went to his class and when he got there, he had to introduce himself and then the class started.
Sitting at the back of the class, Hikari looked around to see if he knew anyone, but there was no one there, so he looked out the window to see the beauty of the landscape.
Dring Dring Dring
"Well, don't forget to do your homework," the teacher said as he left the room, leaving the students with their heads down.
Hikari left the room and went to the team locker room where he saw everyone staring at him as he entered.
"Uh.... hi," Hikari said before walking over to Mark to talk to him.
"Mark, I'm sorry but I'm going to be a little late for practice because I have something to do," Hikari said looking at Mark worriedly.
"Of course, see you later then Hahaha," Mark said laughing, which made Hikari smile.
Hikari then left for his house and when he entered, he saw his mother sleeping on the sofa. He went over to her and covered her with a blanket before going into the kitchen to prepare a meal for her.
After preparing the meal, Hikari left a note saying that he'd be back late because he'd been training, even though he knew it would make his mother angry.
So he left the house to go to the practice field, but when he got to the bridge next to the field, he saw Axel watching the players.
"Oh, it's true that he didn't join the team right away," Hikari thought before going over to Axel.
"Yo Axel," Hikari said holding up two fingers.
"Hi Hikari," Axel said as he continued to watch the team practice.
There was silence between the two until a car pulled up behind them, causing them to turn around.
The rear window of the car rolled down, revealing Nelly.
"Why don't you go and practice? "Nelly asked.
"I was going to, but when I saw Axel, I came to say hello," Hikari said, then looked at Axel to see what he was going to say.
"I didn't join the club and I don't intend to play soccer," Axel said as he prepared to leave.
"Why don't you want to play soccer?" asked Nelly.
"That's none of your business," Axel replied with his back turned.
"Actually, I know why, don't you think she would be sad to know that her brother doesn't play soccer anymore? Ask yourself who wanted to see you play soccer the most," Nelly said, looking at Axel.
"My sister," Axel replied, his eyes widening.
"Good," Nelly said before looking at Hikari.
"Hey you Hikari, you should have been at practice 45 minutes ago, especially if there's an important match," Nelly said, looking at Hikari.
"Sorry madam," Hikari said, taking a military stance.
Nelly then closed her window and the car drove away.
"Let's go," Hikari said, taking Axel by the shoulder.
Arriving at the field, all the players stopped practicing and looked in Axel and Hikari's direction.
"Hey guys, look who I brought with me," Hikari said.
"Axel," the whole team called with a smile.
"Sorry to interrupt your training, but can I join Team Mark?" asked Axel, bowing his head a little.
"Hahaha, of course," Mark laughed and took Axel's shoulder.
"Hey Hikari, you need to make up for the training you missed," Mark said, looking at Hikari.
"Huh?" said Hikari, falling down.
"Run 10 laps around the field, then practice in the past tense and hit the ball," Mark said.
"YES Captain," Hikari shouted as he took up a military position and then started running to the laughter of the others.
