Wait. Let's go back two years.

The time when Andrew Rivers did not exist. The time when the nameless boy was selected by Brunhilde.

He was not delusional.

In the boy's eyes, the gods were beings he had to revere. It was sacrilegious to even think of fighting them. On one hand, he wished to save humanity by being the hero every boy dreams to be, on the other hand he wished to keep his faith.

The conundrum was interrupted by an intervention. Namely, the intervention carried out by an unserious god Hitogami.

He seemed lax. There was not an ounce of seriousness in him. But his voice bore authority.

—Gods are not as perfect as you think they are.

His views were changed as he learned about the holy wars. The disregard for mortal life. To some gods, mortals are just pawns.

The thought didn't stem from any sort of hate, but the understanding that Human are 'Inferior'. The more he learnt, the easier it was for him to let go of his previous notions.

But he also understood one more thing. This god was 'evil' by human standards.

Hitogami didn't just show him the reality of his universe. He tried to manipulate him. The god had one goal. He wished to rule over his world as the one true god.

To achieve that, Hitogami was ready to do anything.

But is it his fault?

It was not Hitogami alone. All the gods who took humanity's side had believed that Man is inferior to god.

So he let go of his anger…

Getting rid of Hitogami won't change anything. There'll be another god to replace him.

What he needed to do was change the perspective.

Humanity is not inferior.

He built his own principles and started following them.

"Kill Thanos." One above all spoke first.

I was a little taken aback by his nonchalance, even though I expected it to some extent.

"You want me to kill a mortal?" I spoke with confusion marring my face.

I expected them to ask for something outrageous, but he asked me to kill Thanos? Can't he just do it himself?

"My multiverse is following the same script. It's getting boring. All that friendship, bonds, love, hate betrayal….it's all the same."

"Why not do it yourself?"

"That'd be too easy."

The more I listened to him, the more I felt my anger rising. But I reigned it in, it would be foolish to get mad for things like this.

You already know how these gods are. To them, we're just a source of entertainment…

Taking a deep breath, I looked at him again. The white glowing eyes looking at me monotonously.

"Alright. But I want something too."

That seemed to get a reaction out of his as the air got a little heavier than before.

"You want more? After all we did for you?"

"It's not that expensive. I'm sure it's nothing special for divine beings."

"…Speak." As the words left his lips, the atmosphere went back to normal.

Crrr—!

I ignored the sound of Hitogami chewing chips in the corner and asked for what I needed.

"The scripts. Not just for this universe but any universe I go to."

"Granted." With those parting words, he vanished in front of my eyes.

"Weeeeel. Now that beardy is gone, how about you listen to my request?"

"Let me guess. Kill someone who's threatening your authority?"

"Ding! Ding! Ding! You're WRONG!"

"Well, you're not completely wrong…"

"Considering the fact that you can see into the future, but set me up for this job. He's still weak but you can't take matters into your own hands."

"Oho~ I knew it was a good idea to give you that computer."

"And what's my reward?"

"Hmm? You won't ask for something like you did for beardy?"

He put his hand under his chin and asked me with a...a pout?

"I don't think you have much to offer."

"Just say what you'll give me and get out."

My mind took a U-turn as soon as I heard to those words. To those who didn't understand the value of this privilege it was just a visitors pass.

But to me, it was not only a way to take commissions from Gods, but most importantly it was the only way for me to meet Alvitr.

I was planning on giving my soul to the Valkyries in exchange of Alvitr, but this takes care of all the problems.

"I won't give you this privilege until you kill the target. So make sure you complete your job."

Rudeus Greyrat.

Right, the uncle who is older than me is now in a ten-year old's body.

That in itself wouldn't be a problem for Hitogami, had he not interfered in other people's fate.

Well, whoever said it was not very far off the mark…

Rudeus was a good man. He made mistakes, but everyone does that. He owed up for his actions….to a certain degree if we ignore that fact that a 34-year-old man had sex with children multiple times…

Point is, his 'good deeds' end up killing Hitogami in the future.

I would've refused carry out this hit if not for the fact that Rudeus was just terrible.

It was like a child stealing without knowing he's doing something wrong.

According to the creamy god, most of the timelines show his inevitable end. The constant failures grew his paranoia to a dangerous height.

Apparently, the god now has a small trauma. So he wants to flip the entire board.

How do you stop yourself from getting fucked when you get fucked no matter what you do?

You run.

So that is what Hitogami wants to do. He wants to escape his world and take shelter in another.

But the closest world unsupervised by a god is tightly bound by fate. Which is something like an antithesis for divinity, similar to how magic is, for my rationality.

So my job was simple. But close to impossible.

I had to take control over fate.

"Waaaaaaah!" A cry loud enough to wake up all the other kids.

The nannies scrambled as they tried to calm me down.

Feeding on the bottle of milk, I looked around the house.

A two-story building designed in the medieval style. No sign of electricity and no sign of technology. The cradle swayed back and forth as the nanny tried putting me to sleep.

I woke up in the orphanage in the Elenoir kingdom.
