An Anomaly; Favorable Aftermath.

A humongous monstrosity that easily towered over three meters in height. It stood on its' two, it's entire body had a golden glow which was covered by various otherworldly dark worms that wriggled continously all across the body of this monstrosity.

It had a large dark horn jutting out of its' forehead as a crimson long tail that had various dark like worms wriggling all across it elongated from its sacrum.

And then...

It smashed down with its' tail, as a terrifying wave of energy assaulted those down below. The dozens of World Evolvers all released countless abilities of theirs.

Flames shot towards the sky, trying to burn the tail...winds rose into the air as they tried to severe the terrifying tail...Golden metals appeared in mid air as they slashed against the tail.

Yet no matter what they did...the terrifying long thorns that had jutted out of the tail remained unscathed...as it smashed against the ground with terrifying force.

KABOOOM!!!!

SPLUTTER!!!!

Two World Evolvers who had been too late to respond to the attack immediately got smashed into a pile of blood and paste, as blood and paste bursted into the air...followed by a blinding pair of golden core.

Their origin core had countless cracks on it...as it was able to withstand a hit from the Guardian of the Land Of Eternal Darkness...

Zeras could see his brother with his snow white hair and blue pupils, who had a golden armour that radiated a bright golden light and a large terrifying sword that had various runic symbols and inscriptions on it...it radiated an intense holy light as Khain smashed down with every ounce of strength contained within him.

SLASSSSSH!!!!!!

The tail of the monstrosity got ripped apart, as it let out a large shreik. It immediately attempted to smash Khain into pulp with its large humongous and nauseating legs that had short nails jutting out underneath...

And just when the leg was about to smash against Khain, a girl with long silvery hair, white serene pupils and quite a perfect and curvaceousness body for her age...suddenly appeared just right beside him.

And the next thing that happened didn't really surprise Zeras. As he was finally able to jerk out of his petrified state. As it seemed that they were able to hold on much longer than he had thought...which meant that during his last simulation...they had probably met the guardian but hadn't succeded in killing it before meeting him.

As to why he was able to arrive in time for the battle...that he had no idea of, and could only attribute it to the fact that he had continously tampered against the threads of fate and destiny...thefore there must be some irreversible consequences and aftermath.

After all, Nothing in this life comes for free...

Khain and Rosaline suddenly dissapeared from the area...but it wasn't actually a sort of magic that didn't have a logic behind it...as if there was one thing that Zeras had understood after such a long time...longer than others within the dream realm and with other World Evolvers...

That would be the fact that there's always a logic behind all of their abilities...none of their abilities were overpowered as they would always have one or two shortcomings, one that even the rune might not give to them or had failed to find out about...as it seemed even the rune isn't omnipotent.

And if the ability is indeed overpowered...then it would surely have a flaw!

It was like some sort of a way for the World to balance the equation...

Khain and Rosaline passed through a spatial node just in time...as three other World Evolvers weren't so lucky to have a helper as they were all smashed into a pile of blood and paste, as organs and origin core splutterrd into the air before landing against the ground with a loud thud and then immediately followed by a slight

KATCHA!!

From this...one could ascertain that the origin cores of the World Evolver was actually quite sturdy and tough...

The Guardian of the land of eternal darkness seemed to have been infuriated at having its prey taking away from it...especially when it was actually right under its' nose.

It let out a loud roar, as a terrifying energy beam suddenly shot out of its mouth. Akin to the dragons in legends...except for the fact that not only was this dragon trying to kill them... But what it had spit out wasn't actually flames...but larvae worms.

"Get the hell out of there..." Zeras yelled out to the five World Evolvers standing right before the Eldritch dream creature.

But it was already too late...as worm like creatures suddenly shot for the air at a terrifying speed...they were densely packed together as they slammed against the World Evolvers with terrifying might...as while normal worms might have been soft...this ones were anything but that.

As they felt as though countless of their bones had broken from that impact, they felt a stinging pain assault them...as they tried to get the worms of their body...they couldn't allow their perfect face to be ruined...

But that would just so happen to easily turn into the least of their fears. As what Zeras feared would happen suddenly did happen.

Slowly they collapsed onto the ground, as they convulsed continously. Dark worms got spitted out of their body continously...yet this dark worms would arrange themselves together and drill their way through the body, organs and blood of their host again.

As it could be seen that their body was trying to fight against it...yet they lost in the end. As their eyes slowly turned crimson. Immediately after that, cries of intense pain left the mouth of the five World Evolvers, as they all had their back arching upward, bones continously jutted out of their back continously, as it joined together in a symmetrical manner, easily elongating long enough to even form a dark long tail just right behind their sacrum.

As their hands bursted into a pile of blood and paste...new hands jutted out of their body. This arms were dark-crimson, as they had countless worms wriggling around them.

One could imagine the pain of such a transformation...as literally their entire genetic structure was being changed in an instant.

Such pain, such agony could be easily imagined.

As their screams and cries of pain slowly died down...as they all stood up onto their dark wriggling worm like feet, they seemed to have lost all emotion and thought.

As they had all become mere husks of their former self...

Now...they were no more humans. They were something else entirely.

"Eldritch Larvae beasts..."

Zeras voice tore through the air, as it was hard to know if he was sad or...felt nothing.

"Eldritch Larvae what." A voice rang out instantly from behind Zeras.

As he glanced back only to be met with an anomaly.

As for why the guy was an anomaly. That was actually quite simple.

In all his previous simulations...two to be precise; he had never encountered this guy.

The guy had fiery eye, blazing eyes and a well defined build as he stared at Zeras with a questioning look obvious within his fiery blazing pupils.

Zeras had a wide grin spreading across his face, as it suddenly dawned on him.

And he didn't know whether he should be happy or sad.

Although he hadn't overcomed a trial...but he had passed through a simulation and even another one...so technically he had somehow passed through a trial...

It was actually quite a simple logic...and according to the last words of the world simulation ability.

Both favorable and ominous consequences.

As the various things began to join together.

The only reason the guardian had appeared ahead of time was due to the fact that it was an ominous consequence, and as for the favorable aftermath...

That was actually quite simple...it was none other than the kid before him.

His eyes blazed with a fiery glint...as his voice suddenly tore through the air.

"Charlotte, tell Khain how to slay the guardian now!

And as for you kiddo....dance in your sea of flames..."

Those were the last word that escaped his lips, as the ordeal of the battlefield immediately changed...

The balance and scale of who had the upper hand and the lower hand immediately got tilted.

As it now remains finding out...whose scale it had tilted against...
