In order to save her mother's life, she signed an agreement with his grandfather and never appeared in front of him again. 

By the time he found out about it, she had left. This separation lasted for many years. The next time he saw her was on the plane flying to her hometown. When he saw her, he almost cried because of his uncontrollable emotions. Happiness, remorse, relief, guilt, longing, and especially love, surged in his heart. 

Although he wanted to rush to her and ask for her forgiveness, he did not dare to approach her for fear that she would reject him. He couldn't stand her leaving him again, nor could he listen to her words of rejection, blame, or hatred. In order to be closer to her, he changed seats with another passenger.

When a plane hits a flock of birds, he knows their chances of survival are next to zero. His life was hers, so he had to use his life to protect her. Therefore, he rushed to her and hugged her tightly.
