Chapter Five

In the new owners office was sat the owner and the recently hired director of football Luis Goncalves who was hired from Shakhter Donetsk they were trying to decide on who to hire as coach between Marco Bielsa and Carlo Ancelotti.

"While Marco Bielsa could help us build us build and integrate younger players he doesn't have an Outstanding record in comparison with Ancelotti and besides we need a coach with a proven track record" said Shola who preferred to hire Ancelotti as coach and due to his future knowledge of his success as a coach 

After saying that Luis couldn't help but agree as it made sense to hire Ancelotti and he also agreed about United needing a coach who had a proven track record "I agree with that and we need to hire a new Head of Development" after ruffling through some sheet of paper "from our preliminary conversations we ended up on Steve Weaver as a potential candidate do you still want him or we hire someone else" he asked 

"Hire him and make him Head of development also Make Jim Lawlor our head scout and fill in the last three spaces for scouts we have with David Trezeguet, David Mills and Johann Eder and set up a meeting with Ancelotti's agent so we can have our coach and start with our transfer"

A Hotel in Paris 

Sat in a conference room of a hotel in Paris are sat Shola and his Luis his Director of Football awaiting the arrival of Carlo Ancelotti and his agent. 10 minutes later and in walks Ancelotti accompanied by his agent they take a sit opposite one another Luis stands up and decides to introduce both parties 

"Good day my name is Luis and seating beside me is Mr. King Adeshola the new owner of Manchester United we held this meeting with you in hopes of securing your signature as our new head coach" said Luis while handing him the prepared contract. 

Ancelotti and his agent read the contract and while it looked attractive they still weren't sure "Your contract offer is certainly attractive but we are not certain about accepting it" 

Shola took over negotiations from there "I understand that's Napoli has also offered you a contract but the contract we are offering is not only much more lucrative than what you were offered but we're also a bigger club and we will also give you the ability to build a squad in your liking while giving you at least 2 years to build a Squad that can win us the Premier League and to be competitive in the Champions League" Ancelotti looked to be convinced by what he heard and agreed to sign with the club.

" I wish our partnership a successful cooperation" both sides shook hands both feeling a sense of relief from reaching an agreement 

Two days later and the news was spread out that Manchester United has hired Carlo Ancelotti as the new coach for a 5 year period when fans heard this they were overjoyed at this signing
