A concentrated beam of light falls on the center of Beginner Village 616. Despite the commotion, only a few people turn their heads to watch the proceedings.

Inside the light, Lay willed Hitman21 to take his first step into Otherworld.

No one knows if it is premeditated or not but as soon as Hitman21 took a step a soft breeze blew making the character's sleeves flutter. Then the words "Welcome to Otherworld" popped up in his field of vision followed by orchestra music playing in the background.

Afterward, a slew of information flashed on his screen instructing him on some of the game's basic functions. Double tap to summon the system interface, scroll up or down, and left or right to browse.

Since he's already there, Lay decided to check on his character's basic information.

Summoning the Old Revolver into his hands, Lay familiarizes himself with its feel before nodding in satisfaction. Afterward, he allocated the available stat points to Agility making it 10.

At this point, a crowd already formed in the village center. Not wasting any more time Lay headed straight outside the village.

All beginner villages in Otherworld share the same geography. Even then no players complain since it only makes sense to have the same starting map. Furthermore, this phenomenon makes it easy for players to connect because of the shared experience.

As for the developers, they are happy to save money and resources while establishing rapport among their players. Two golden birds with one stone indeed.

Amaran Plains is a flat land where Amarans, a type of magical squirrel live. The atmosphere on this map will make anyone relax and encourage them to take a pause.

One of the reasons that Amaran Plains is peaceful is partly due to the Amarans themselves. Since they derive from squirrels Amarans had very small bodies which in Otherworld equates to a small hitbox.

What's really discouraging however is the fact that most Amarans will choose to flee when they are attacked.

At this moment, Lay emerges from a bush next to a brown Amaran.

Squatting down in front of the creature, Lay reached out his hands to stroke its chin. He then summoned the Old Revolver into his other hand and pointed it at the monster's forehead when it closed its eyes.
