CH 96: Absorbing the herbs

He nodded with a serious look :"alright then, we will do as you say. I will teach you how to absorb the herbs. Let's get to using your 1st soul ring first."

After that, he explained to me on how I should eat the herb correctly, then we walked to the Octa Dark Frost first.

"Damn, the ice element in this flower is really high. No wonder you have to consume it with another flower at the same time.

Even me, with my ice manipulation feel threatened by how cold it is. For others it would probably freeze them entirely before they can fully absorb it." I said as we stood a few meters away from the flower.

He looked at me with a serious face :"so? What are you going to do now? How are you going to use you soul skill?"

I smirked as I summoned my cashew nut :"easy peasy, just like this." And then I threw the nut towards the flower.

Once it was close to the flower, I activated the soul skill of my first soul ring :"this daddy has divine nuts!"

And just like that, the entire flower was absorbed into the Nut in just a second just like how you catch a pokemon!

"Done! And that's that!" I said as I made the Nut disappear and then looked to my side to see San'qe looking at me with an awkward expression :"Xiao Ali, what is up with that saying."

I shrugged with a sigh :"it's my soul curse. Now do you know why I don't make fun of Oscar most of the time? It's because both of our soul curses are like this. Come on, let's go to the other one."

After quickly hurrying to the other side of the hot spring, I frowned as I scratched my chin :"this is going to be a problem..."

He looked at me with confusion as he raised an eyebrow :"what is it? What is the problem?"

I sighed as I summoned my cashew nut again :"because of the Orca Dark Frost being ice attribute, it only froze the nut.

But I could still unleash the soul skill since the nut wasn't destroyed. But it's different now.

Once I throw the nut, it will be burned to a crisp and ashes before it even reaches the flower.

Hmm... The only way to finish this is by releasing my martial soul and using my wing hands and fire and ice manipulation to protect the nut against the heat till it reaches the flower."

After that, I didn't waste anymore time as I released my first martial soul and held the cashew nut in my wing hands.

Using the fire manipulation and ice manipulation, I created an ice barrier around the nut, completely trapping it in ice.

I then created a small field of flames around the ice ball with the highest temperature I can achieve.

And then, after standing just a little outside of the fire field of the flower, I took a deep breath before controlling my wing hands to rush at the flower.

I gritted my teeth at the intense heat and burning pain of the fire on my wing hands as I continuously input fire and ice so they wouldn't break.

But when it was near enough, I quickly activated my first soul ring of my nut :"this daddy has divine nuts!"

And thankfully, the flower quickly got absorbed into the flower. I then immediately used my recovery feathers on my wings as I swung them quickly to get the burn away.

After the pain went away, I took back my martial soul as I turned to face San'qe :"alright, that's done too. Where are we going to absorb it?"

He nodded as he turned and pointed at the cliff that was ring on top of the hot spring :"let's go there. If something happens during absorbing the herbs, the ice fire mouth spring can help us."

I nodded before we jumped around and landed on the cliff. After nodding seriously at San'qe, I used my 1st soul skill twice as fast I could :"this daddy has divine nuts! This daddy has divine nuts!"

As the Orca Dark Frost and the Fiery Soft Apricot appeared once again on the ground, we quickly took a step back just in case.

But thankfully, as San'qe has said before, the two poisonous flowers of polar opposite elements neutralized each other.

San'qe took out two knives from his storage belt before he threw both of them at the flowers, cutting the place where we were going to consume.

As he cut the flower part, the two poisonous flowers released a small explosion from themselves which was taken care of by the opposite elements.

"Alright, I will take these two first. Watch how I consume them,then follow my footsteps. The only way to enter the ice fire mouth spring is to eat these two flowers at the same time.

After eating them, jump into the ice fire mouth spring just like how I will do. Even if Dugu Bo doesn't keep his words, we can hid e in the ice fire mouth spring. Do you understand?"

I nodded in agreement before he walked towards the two flowers that were floating in the air.

As I carefully watched him, I saw him reach out into the two flowers and take a part before eating them both, then the flowers disappeared into his stomach themselves.

He took off his upper clothes as he stood for a moment before his skin turned completely red and the ground even caught fire!

But then all of the hotness disappeared and was replaced with freezing cold! Then fire, ice again.

This cycle continued for a little before San'qe finally jumped into the ice fire mouth spring. I sighed as I did the exact same things that he did and consumed the the two flowers.

I didn't immediately jump into the ice fire mouth spring, but waited for a moment for the flowers to show their effects.

When I felt the fierce wave of heat that suddenly appeared inside my body, I didn't waste anymore time as I jumped into the ice fire mouth spring.

After jumping in, I endured the pain as I sat in a lotus position inside of the hot spring and began to cultivate and guide the two flowers to enhance my elements.

If I do this right and succeed, the quality of my ice and fire will definitely skyrocket. But, it may take longer than San'qe's needed time.

As I entered the state of cultivation, I didn't care any longer since I was going to stay here for 6 months anyway. Hope Zhuqing and Erlong don't miss me too much.

- (two days later. Nobody's POV)

The night had arrived and two days has passed since Ali had entered a deep state of cultivation.

Dugu Bo had come to Tang San once again to get his antidote for today between 9 and 11 p.m. just as promised.

Tang San held up the cure in a jade bottle up for him to take :"here, old freak. Today's dose of antidote."

Dugu Bo wasn't polite as he took the poison from his hand. But instead of going away, he looked at the ice fire mouth spring :"little freak, when is your little brother going to come out? Are you sure he isn't dead down there?"

Tang San frowned as he gave him a small glare :"you don't have to worry, old freak. I keep checking on him regularly. He is just in a deep state of cultivation."

But when they were talking, a figure rose from the ice fire mouth spring. As Ali slowly straightened his back, he kept his eyes closed as he sighed through gritted teeth.

But what was strange, was that fire came out of the right side of his mouth while a freezing mist came out of the left side!

As both Dugu Bo and Tang San looked at him, he suddenly opened his eyes, causing them to shiver slightly at the cold and hot aura that seemed to emit from his body.

Ali smirked before he made his way to the land and gave an upward nod :"yo, what up? Why are you staring at me like that?"

Tang San smiled at his little brother as he nodded :"hey, Xiao Ali. It seems that you have also succeeded. Congratulations. So? Did you have any improvement?"

Ali smirked as he chuckled :"hehehe... Hehehahaha! Just improvement?! Behold, bitches! This majesty has attained both ultimate ice and fire because of the ice fire mouth spring!!"

The eyes of both of the listeners went wide open as they yelled in shock :"what?! Ultimate ice and fire?!"

Tang San looked at his younger brother as if looking at a monster :"Xiao Ali, have you seriously reached the ultimate attributes in both elements?!"

Ali smiled smugly as he held up a V sign :"yup, I have! My ice and fire were already high in quality, but after absorbing the freaking energy in this ice fire mouth spring, I made a breakthrough and even reached the ultimate attributes!"

They were both speechless as they looked at him with open mouthes bofer Dugu Bo muttered :"damn, what a little devil. Little freak, you explain what has happened while this little devil was sleep. I'm going."

And after he jumped away and to who knows where, Ali looked at Tang San with confusion, causing his older brother to chuckle :"don't worry, Xiao Ali. Everything is alright now."

And so, he began to explain just what happened in the two days that Ali was cultivating.

Ali put hiss hand under his chin as he nodded :"I see, I see. So that much went down while I was cultivating, huh?"

Tang San nodded with an amazed expression :"right, you couldn't believe it, teacher Liu Erlong was going toe to toe with the old freak!"

Honestly, Ali was amazed by his new lover. Going against a titled douluo and being able to put up a fight while you aren't one is already a big achievement.

But Tang San told him that she was fighting on equal footings against someone of two levels higher.

Do not misunderstood, two levels are a lot for a soul douluo and titled douluo. After all, Liu Erlong only needs one level to reach titled douluo.

Ali :"But San'qe, you fooled that old freak, didn't you? Sure, taking your blood that has fused with those two herbs would damage his cultivation, but what about just small dozes?"

6 months have passed since we were kidnapped by Dugu Bo, that old freak, who we have gotten close to, just like the original.

I couldn't believe just how boring these 6 months were without Zhuqing or Erlong! All I could do was cultivate, eat and sleep!

Sigh, but it seemed that San'qe really enjoyed his time in here, so I just continued my boring schedule.

So in these 6 months, I focused on creating marks, not for myself, but for my soul rings. It's a real pain to keep count of their age.
