Main character's parents must die

"Why do the main character's parents often get the short end of the stick?" That is what Mila asked while looking up at the sky. She was grumbling toward whoever sent her inside the novel she read before she died. She becomes the mother of the main character, whose parents are both dead. Mila's character was merely a tool for the MC's character development. It's a simple, fix-all solution. The author wanted to make the audience instantly sympathetic towards the main character, and the best thing he did was to have the MC's parents die. After she avoided her death in the original plot, death flags kept coming for her. Will the original plot not end if she's not dead? .... proofreader: Aserehtam

"This uncle is quite old for this tour."

"I thought you were referring to touring me around the house." Christopher stared at the car that he was always wary of riding in.

When Berto volunteered to show him around, he didn't expect that he was referring to touring him outside the house. Although he was always good at adjusting and seeing new places, his first hour of staying in the city was quite traumatic. He was chased, tied up, and locked in a cell. He thought the people in this place were not strong enough to spar with him, but their techniques and weapons were frightening.

"Why? You don't want to? I just thought it would be ideal to stay out for a while." Berto said. He opened the door for Christopher and also taught him how to use the seatbelt.

"I guess you are right. Mother's moan is too loud. She might have left her shame somewhere else."

Berto could only laugh at Christopher's statement and asked about his clothes instead. "How's your clothes? Does it fit nicely?"
