He didn't want to give up, but the future in front of him was a Cliff heading to Damnation.  He wanted to kill himself before the Undead eats his Body. He pointed his Rifle to himself, and as he was about to pull the Trigger. A Book from his Backpack shone in an Illuminating Bright Light. It was the Magus Book, The Random Book he found in a Store. It was abandoned, but it looked interesting, so he took it. Never did he thought that such a book would have power. The Bright Light illuminated the High-rise Building, and Arthur found himself closing his eyes in fear. The moment Arthur opened his Eyelids, He found himself in a Nostalgic Scene. In the Recorded Year of 2025, An Hour before the Apocalypse falls upon the World. A Third-Year Highschool Boy woke up from his nap with a shocked expression. He was Arthur Ironhearth, The Last Survivor that managed to Survive until the End. The Holder of the Magus Book. And the Future Magus in an Apocalypse World. [Be warned that the MC is Ruthless.]

9-Clearing the Undead

Arthur and Lilith were standing against the Undead Horde. They calmly stood up in front of the Undead while holding their weapons tightly. Arthur stares at the Undead while pointing his Baseball Bat towards them. "The First Lesson should be about hunting a Horde of Undead," Arthur said with a calm voice. Lilith nodded and waited for Arthur to continue his words. She wanted to see what Arthur has in his mind. Such a lesson might be useful in the future. Arthur then continued the words he spoke.

"To Hunt an Undead Horde. You must be in a Wide Area that is devoid of Blind Spots. The Large Area could give you a good sight against everything around you and can give you a variable escape route. You must be sure that nothing is behind you, especially when you are alone. A Large Area could help that." Arthur said while Lilith looked around the School Ground. The Undead Horde and the two of them were the only things within the School Ground.

"To Fight an Undead Horde with efficiency. There is One Expert technique against Stage-0 Undead. It is called a Tactical Retreat. Every Kill you make, You must back one step. This should be good for avoiding misfire against the Undead. They wouldn't be able to overwhelm you with you retreating at every kill. This should give you the ability to kill a Horde if you are Calm and Patient enough." Lilith hearing his words nodded, as she understood what Arthur meant. The Undead won't dodge, which means that hitting them would be easy. The One hit Kill was only for Experts that knew when to hit or where to hit.

"The Last would be about Double Tap. You must be sure that each Undead is dead before harvesting. They might ambush you and bite you in surprise. So before heading to an Undead Corpse. A Survivor must need to hit the Corpse again, to be sure that the Undead is dead." Arthur said his last words about the Undead Lesson. All he said was base on his Experience and the current time. Since the Running Undead doesn't exist. It would be easy to hunt Undead Horde without being chase by a Rabid Undead.

"Do you understand everything I said?" Arthur asked Lilith, who was right beside him. Lilith nodded and answered with her soft voice. "That was a Good Lesson. Although I have some questions about the Undead Lesson. All the things you said are applicable in our Current Situation." Arthur never thought that someone could understand it without having more questions. Lilith must need more detail about the Undead Lesson. Arthur was willing to give an Hour of Lesson, so there was no need for her to be worried.

"I'll give you a Full Lesson later, so It's time for us to start the Practical Lesson," Arthur said as the Undead finally arrives in front of them. Arthur helps his Baseball Bat tightly and swings it towards the Undead's head. The Undead was hit and flew to the ground due to the strong impact of the Baseball Bat. "This bat is really expensive and worth the price. I wonder what kind of wood this Bat is made from?" Arthur said as he retreated one step.

Lilith looked at Arthur and also swang her sword towards the Undead. She easily beheaded the Undead without any problem and also retreated one step. "Although this is a boring technique, We only have one life in this Lovely World of ours," Lilith said without bothering about Arthur looking at her with a strange gaze. Lilith was a strange girl. Her identity wasn't probably a simple one. Arthur already knew that base on her past life when he hunted down the remaining Black Steel Members.

"You're quite an honest girl... I hope we can continue working together." Arthur said while swinging her Baseball Bat towards an Undead. He retreated on One Step. "I also hope we can continue working together, Arthur," Lilith said as she swung her Sword towards the Undead's head. The Undead fell to the ground, and Lilith retreated one step. The Plan was simple. A child could easily understand such a plan.

There was only probably which such plan that most people realized. It was the fact that they are facing the Undead head-on with no Firearms. Having a Melee fight against an Undead Horde wasn't something normal. Nobody wants to fight or hit an Undead in a Close Combat Situation. Fighting a Horde in Close Combat was not efficient and was also dangerous. But that would only be applicable if the Survivors fighting were normal civilians.

The Two continued fighting against the Undead without any fear within them. They retreated one step at a time after killing one Undead. Bodies were slowly getting littered all over the School ground. Once in a while, One of them would look around to check if there was any Undead. No Undead could be found, as most of the Undead were probably within the horde. Arthur continued bashing his Baseball Bat towards the Undead. It was bloodied, and small deformations could be found.

'I should be careful and attack the soft spot.' Arthur thought to himself while trying to target the soft spot of the Undead's Head. It was to avoid Deformation, which could affect a Weapon's durability. While Arthur was having a problem with his Weapon, Lilith's sword was still sharp and clean. She beheaded the Undead almost all the time. She would sometimes slice the head into two, but that would cost too much stamina.

While the two were having fun killing the Undead, The Other Group in the Faculty looked at them from afar. They were shocked at seeing Arthur and Lilith having fun killing the Undead. The two of them made it looked so easy. The Students knew that it would be a nerve-racking experience for a student. As the students began talking about Arthur and Lilith, The Teacher had many thoughts within her mind.

'They aren't normal students...' That was the Teacher's first thought. She was researching about the two of them last night in the Faculty. She had the information about the two plastered on her mind. Lilith Reid came from the Region Tolo and was transferred to this Region which was called Region Pito. She was a Silent Young Girl that was Smart and Athletic. Most deemed her to be a cold introvert or a cold and serious person.

The Most Suspicious Student was Arthur Ironhearth. He comes from the Upper Region in the Northern Border of Pito. He had a Sister in Region Unom. She was transferred to a Well-known Middle School within the Region. According to the descriptions, Arthur was an Introvert and Nerd. The only thing different about him was that he was willing to fight people instead of letting people pick at him. There was one accident where he was injured to an almost dangerous level. The Group of Students that executed such a thing was expelled and had records in each School.

"Some of their Personalities can be hidden and are probably free with the World Ending," Stella said after closing her eyes. She wanted to make the Apocalypse at least after her death so that she could remember a peaceful world instead of this world. There was nothing she could do about it. The only thing she needed to do was to survive in this Apocalypse World.

"Teacher, They are finished on killing the Undead Horde." One of the students said while pointed her fingers towards Arthur and Lilith. Stella already expected such a result. She shook her head and decided to dig on more information about the two. She had nothing to do in this Faculty other than reading old records. She also needed more information about Survival before trying to survive in this World.

"That took a while," Arthur said while crouching on the Grassfield. They found themselves in a Field full of Undead Corpses. They were far from their original position, but it was worth it as they made it safe and clean. The only dirty thing was their Weapons. "The plan was a Success... Should we begin harvesting?" Lilith asked as she pointed her sword towards the Undead Corpses. Arthur nodded and spoke.

"Let's begin the Harvesting of Cores. Before we start, You remember the Lesson about Harvesting, Right?" Arthur asked Lilith about an Important Question. She nodded after hearing his Question and answered it. "Yes, I should Double Tap each Corpses." Arthur nodded with a proud look, and the two of them began the harvesting process. This would take a while.

"Take a Towel from my Bag. A Survivor shouldn't carelessly touch the Brain of the Undead. There is something called Protective Clothes for Personel dismantling Dangerous Biological Products. You shouldn't touch Undead Brain Blood with your bare hands. The Brain Blood is probably the most Infected Undead Blood in the whole body." Arthur said while taking out the Towel he used long ago. Lilith nodded and also took out a towel for herself.

Arthur would bash the Undead head before harvesting while Lilith would pierce her Undead head. The two of them were calmly doing their job without any problems. Lilith would be careful on taking out Crystalized Cores as it was her first time dissecting ahead. Arthur harvested like it was nothing. Although he said many things about Brain Blood, It was just a precaution. Nothing would really happen when Brain Blood touches the hand.

They continued the harvesting process, and half an hour finally passed in the School ground. It took a while, but Arthur and Lilith had a huge bounty within their Bag. They needed another bag for their food as the Current Bag they had was full of Crystalized Cores. They were in a Good Mood after the Harvesting Process was complete. It was strange for two people to be smiling while being surrounded by corpses. Most would probably see them as some lunatics.

"Teacher, Why are they taking something out of the Undead brains?" One of the students asked in curiosity. Never did they thought that they would see a live show about dissecting Undead Brains. Stella was already watching Arthur and Lilith from afar. Even she didn't know what they were planning to do. "I don't know..." Stella shook her head and answered. "Maybe it's a Hobby?" One of the Male Students said.

"A Problem has occurred, Teacher!!!" A Female Student shouted. All of the Students looked through the window and saw a Group of People confronting Arthur and Lilith. "Are they our saviors?" A Student speculates, another student took down the speculation. "They aren't our Saviors... They are outsiders, and they are also Thugs." Hearing the student, The Teacher furrowed her Eyebrow. "It seems that a Battle is about to begin. We should help the two of them."

As the Other Group in the Faculty prepared themselves to battle with the thugs. Arthur and Lilith were quietly staring at the Group of Thugs. They were calmly carrying their Bloodied Weapons which took the attention of the surroundings Thugs. The Whole Field was full of Corpses. The Two Students might be the reason, but it was impossible for Two Students with only Melee Weapons to kill a Horde.

Their bodies even looked clean, and the only thing that was bloodied was their Weapons. "Boss, should we avoid confrontation?" A Thug whispered towards the Boss. It was a Thin Looking Man that had a Baseball Bat. It looked Deform and was almost reaching its Limit. "Do you really believe that they did all these?" The Boss asked. The Thugs shook their heads as it was impossible for students to do such a thing. Before they could continue talking to each other. Arthur spoke with a cold voice.

"Lilith, A Group of Thugs has invaded our School. This is a problem. It seems that they aren't here to be saving people. It is rather unfortunate for us to meet these Thugs as we would waste a lot of energy before having our feast. What do you think we should do?" Arthur said many words before asking Lilith a question. "Isn't terminating the Problem one of the Best Answers?" Lilith said while Arthur smiled.
