Having come to Huzhou for a visit, as a food lover, it was natural to try the local cuisine.
Arriving at Fisherman's Port, they went upstairs and entered a restaurant called "Taihu Lake Water Feast," chose a window seat, and started ordering dishes: steamed whitefish, saltwater shrimp, crispy whitebait, spicy snail, braised softshell turtle, dried greens with lake eel, and so on.
The cuisine of Jiangsu and Zhejiang is relatively light, but it wins with its freshness, especially since they were eating such a selection of lake and river delicacies that day.
With the beautiful scenery of Tai Lake visible through the window, the meal was, on the whole, a rather enjoyable one.
By the time they returned to the villa hotel, it was still early, not yet five-thirty in the evening.
