Chapter 1 monsters

I was always able to see odd things, and understand how things worked at firs glance, but I would not have ever expected what path my life had turned. It all really started when I was about 17, almost threw my sophomore's year of high school. i was out with accouple of my friends after school, Sam and Jessica. Sam was short for Samson. he was a tall, plan, and skinny dud mid way threw his 19 with blackish-brown hare. will Jessica is an average sized but a bit plump girl early in here 16 with naturally brown messy hair but she likes to dye it Many different colors. this time it is a strange mix of pink, green and blue with hints of her natural brown showing through in the sun beams.

We were going to a park in town that which was close to all of our houses wee tend to go there quite a lot in recent times

" so how has everyone been doing"

muttered one of them I couldn't really figure out how it was do to being distracted by a strange noise.

"good, but school is a Paine."

I said returning my focus to were I was walking

"same"

said Jessica starting to quicken her pace behind me.

"how have you been Sam"

"Same here.... JESSICA stop that !"

he said after smacking her hand which was poking his neck, which cause me to stifle a laugh. after a few minutes of walking one of them asked something that I mist. I was momentarily bewitch by a strange figure that seemed to be hiding in the bushes.

"sarry I missed that what did you say"

"nothing really I was just wondering on how you two ben recently"

said Jessica with a hint of displeasure in here voice but she seamed to quickly forget here displeasure and hurried to catch back up to us tacking here usual plays on my left side

few hours later on the way back from the park I saw a small group of odd creatures on the outskirts of town. They were small about 2 or 3 feet tall, thin creatures with pout belly and 5 wiry fingers each a few inches in length, which were topped with sharp jagged claws. they also hade mish matching teeth sharp enough to cut through bone and the most unsettling thing is that they had blood red eyes all staring straight at me. There was maybe 5 or 6 of them all hurdled under a low hanging breach. I only saw them for an instant or two then they were gone,

"will I shod be off before my mom gits wearied"

I said giving a 3 finger wave to same and Jessica how were continuing towards there respective places.

"yip"

"don't be a stranger"

said Sam and Jessica with both of them waving but one was more enthusiastic thin the other. When I got home I went straight to my computer and books to research what i saw on the way back. I searched through many different books, websites on old myths and local legends. After a couple hours I found a few possible options of what I saw. Kobolds, Goblins, or maybe a type of fairy. kobolds are said to have small hominoid bodies around the size of a child, with a dog like face. but what I thought was to be more likely was goblins. which were said to bare a vary close appearance to mischievous children. with sharp teeth, long arms, a potbelly and large, red eyes.

A few days later some people at my school started to cause some problems but the strange thing was. I could swear that they have horns. they kept picking on this much smaller kid next to them. even after the smaller kid offered there lunch money, bagged lunch and even their backpack. the 3 taller kids kipped on picking on the kid how seamed to be getting smaller and smaller next to the 3 much taller kids intel a near by girl told them off, and seemed to even scare the much larger kids away.

Dearing lunch another day some of the athletes walked by, and started to be vary talkative almost boastful.

"ha max how was that catch"

said one of them that was wearing a jersey that seemed to be large enough to feet 3 grown adults

"it was awesome"

one said with just a hint of cluelessness, about what there talking about

"lets get some grub I'm starving" said the last one, how was much balkier than the other two. he looked like he could eat the entire school hole.

"Ok boss"

all of them said and marched away. when I was in gym class a few days later some of the more popular girls started to act weird. They wear giggling with unnaturally high voices, and when I looked over I saw 3 of the girls over there in a huddle giggling at something. maybe some of the more athletic boys cot there fancy or maybe one of the les attractive girls got there scorn. but the weird thing is It looked like that they had a green hew in their cheeks, and leaves or other plants in their hair. like if they just came in from rolling in the autumn leaves or something.

When I got back home after school and hanging with same and Jessica. I thought I saw some small blue dancing light by the forest next to my house. It bothered me so mooch I spent a extra few hours begore going to bed searching through my collection. eventually I found some information about small blue balls of lite cased by gas belt up under Neath bogs surface, that once was thought to be lost souls called willow-o-wisp. after my reading I was so worked up and anxious I went out there. it was dark, maybe around 9:10 I wanted to find out if what I saw was real or if I was imagining things again.
