Magic Martial World (Moved to WSA)

With a wave of my hand, thousands of magicsteel swords rained down on my enemies as I enjoyed a chess game with my companions. With a swing of my sword, sword kings and emperors prostrated before me as I hanged the Sword Saint's head for the world to see.  With a flick of my finger, hundreds of thousands of wizards and sages exploded into bloody mist as I used their blood and bones to pave my path towards invincibility. I am Ivan Chaos, the first cultivator in a scientific world of wizards. ______________________________________________ Disclaimers: This is a slow paced novel where learning and improving are the norm. Awkward Farewell

After having Ivan check his stuff once more, Calvin brought the child to Basic Elementary School to meet the headmaster before they left for Jumper Academy.

On the way there, Calvin kept stealing glances at Ivan. He was hoping he could see the resemblance between him and the headmaster.

They were relatives after all.

Alas, Calvin stopped thinking about it.

It was also because he felt a sharp pain in his chest and remembered that a peak-like existence dwelled within the child's body.

He knew Chaos was watching him from within Ivan's mind that he halted his train of thought.

The two soon reached the entrance of Basic Elementary School. There, they were greeted by Headmaster Na and his daughter, Sabrina.

"How's it going, son? I heard you passed your entrance exams with flying colors." Headmaster Na asked.

It wasn't everyday that a headmaster like himself could see his student return from their entrance exams without gaining trauma about it.

In fact, it was common for freshmen to have some sort of mental scar when they first entered Jumper Academy.

It was due to pure luck that Ivan managed to pass the entrance exam without mentally scaring himself.

"It wasn't exactly flying colors per se…I was just lucky when it was time to pick my path." Ivan, on the other hand, shook his head in return.

To him, it was purely by chance that Chaos had appeared within his mind, and it was also purely by chance that he had acquired the mysterious Martial Dao System.

It was only because of the skills he had gotten from his system as well as the protection of Chaos that Ivan was able to clear his entrance exams unscathed.

"Well, what matters is that you're safe and sound." Headmaster Na smiled back.

Just then, Ivan seemed to have noticed something small moving in the corner of his eye.

The small object had quickly hid behind Headmaster Na but Ivan had improved perception previously and was able to catch the object's true appearance.

With a helpless smile on his face, Ivan bent down and waved his hand at the little girl hiding behind Headmaster Na.

"Hello there, Sabrina. It's me, your cousin…Ivan. I'm going to go somewhere far away now. Aren't you here to see me off?" Ivan softly said.

Sabrina gave no response. She was as stiff as a brick as she hid behind the headmaster.

Her face was being blocked by the headmaster's shadow so Ivan couldn't see her facial expression either.

Minutes soon passed as the 2 adults awkwardly stood by the school's entrance.

Ivan had remained in his bent position for a while too.

It was only then did Sabrina give a reply.

"Go away." Sabrina softly murmured.

"Alrighty then, I guess that's as good as it's going to get." Ivan softly sighed.

Headmaster Na too, could only reveal a look of helplessness. Even during farewells, his daughter was cold towards her elder cousin.

Nonetheless, her elder cousin was an open minded child so her insults were melodies to his ear.

Ivan exchanged a few more words with Headmaster Na before Calvin brought him away from the headmaster and daughter duo with his magic.

But even as Ivan was getting dragged away, he couldn't help but shed a tear as he waved at the headmaster and his daughter goodbye.

It may be a long time before he'll meet them again after all.

And just before he was out of their sight, Ivan shouted at the top of his lungs.

"I will head to Jumper Academy to become strong! And once I become strong, I'll search every nook and cranny for that naughty thunder spirit that dared to destroy my house! I swear by my name! Bye guys!"

Just like that, Ivan and Calvin were gone.

After a while, a head poked out from behind Headmaster Na. It was Ivan's cousin, Sabrina.

"Is he gone yet?" [Sabrina]

"I can confirm he's indeed left for Jumper Academy." [Headmaster Na]

"Good, I didn't want to show him my bawling state." [Sabrina]

"He'd be happy to know that you cried for him on the day that he left us." [Headmaster Na]

"Shut up, shut up, shut up! Not a word to him, daddy!" [Sabrina]

"Alright, alright. I'll keep my mouth shut, sweetheart. You happy now?" [Headmaster Na]

"Yes, very happy. I'm happy that Ivan left me for good now. He must be very happy that he got to leave such a cold person, no?" [Sabrina]

"Is that your way of telling me that you like him?" [Headmaster Na]

"Like? Impossible! I would never like someone as cheerful and hardworking as Ivan, never!" [Sabrina]

"Well, truth be told, you guys aren't blood related. So if there's a chance to hold a wedding, I can get that sorted out for you…" [Headmaster Na]

"Absolutely not!" [Sabrina]

Halfway across the grassy plains between Seishi and Ryusei, Ivan suddenly felt a chill down his spine.

"Uhh, uncle?"

"Yes?" [Calvin]

"Could I borrow a jacket from you? I suddenly felt very chilly." [Ivan]

I just figured out what I'm bad at...farewells.
