Magic High: School For Virtuous And Evil

Rachael Rodriguez had never stepped out of her home town before her sixteenth year. Then she arrived at Magic High , and quickly tried to flee. The school was made of elites, self-assured, strong, and at first glance... highly unapproachable students, teachers, and workers. Yet as Rachel was ignored, and drawn into their library where she found her solace, she learned a terryfying secret...a secret about an incident in the school in the dead of the night where an ancient rite was brought to brutal life...and led to a gruesome death. And that ... was just the beginning.

MY FIRST MAGIC CLASS ( Part II)

"Toma este pergamino, seguirás todos los pasos del pergamino. Mi próxima clase contigo es el domingo, para entonces deberías haber aprendido todo el contenido del pergamino. Solo revisaré tu progreso el domingo.

Y terminé mi clase contigo, otras magias avanzadas...las leerás en la biblioteca.

(Take this scroll, you will follow all the steps in the scroll. My next class with you is on Sunday, by then you should have learnt all the contents of the scroll.

I'll only check your progress on Sunday, and my class with you is done. Other advanced magic...you will read them in the library.)

(What's wrong with these teachers? They spend approximately six minutes and then exit the class.)

The voice was right, she didn't teach me anything. I opened the scroll and saw so many aqua magic techniques. I started with the pull and push of water.

I spent hours working on the scroll, making me miss lunch and dinner with my roommates. Silva was no exception; she'd work on attacking in the shadows.

At last I finished the scroll and I was damn tired. I made my way to the library and as I walked to the secluded part I hit something, like flesh.

"Aww…..got buttons for eyes?" it was the headmistress, when I realized she was the one, I knew I was in trouble.

"I am sorry madame, I didn't know it was you."

" It's okay, where are you going by this time of the night?

You should be in bed," she said with concern in her eyes. I'd never seen her so kind.

"Can you spare a minute?" I asked.

"What's the matter?"

"Can you differentiate honors level classes and sage classes?" I asked.

"Honors level classes are called honors cos, it is an honor to be there. There one learns one aspect of magic one is brilliant in. Sage level...they learn more than one.

But no student in our history learnt more than two….. except Lilly….. that's a long story."

"So, how much do I get to learn?" I asked curiously, as she was about to leave.

"All of them," she said with a smile and disappeared down the library.

"What does she mean by' all of them'?" I asked aloud. I made my way back to my room. Angelina and Alicia were asleep, but as I sat on my bed I heard Angelina's voice.

"Where were you?"

"You missed two meals….. because?" Alicia also asked.

" I tried hard to finish everything before midnight. And I did, missing lunch and dinner. I didn't realize that so many hours had passed.

How would I feel if I didn't even get the chance to have a wink of sleep before going for some chemistry class tomorrow? I am so hungry.

You think it is easy, don't you?

Well it's not." I said, so they could feel the stress I went through.

"We never knew about it, Rachael, we are really sorry. We didn't mean that. We never knew you failed…..that much," Alicia said solemnly.

"I have not failed. I have just found 10,000 ways that won't work." I said.

" Well, challenges are what makes life interesting and overcoming them is what makes life meaningful." Angelina said smiling.

" Good night," I said and buried my head in my pillow. Like always I couldn't sleep, and just stared at the ceiling. My stomach grumbled repeatedly.

After listening to the breathing of Alicia and Angelina, which was deep. I stood up and walked towards the door. Silva was behind me , and we both left the room without making any sound.

The hallway was dark and silent. Not even the sounds of animals could be heard. Despite the darkness, I was able to walk my way into the dinning hall.

Surprisingly, it was dimly lit. There was someone sitting, their back facing me. I walked up to their table, only to see a cloaked person. I couldn't determine their gender.

The person had just finished a portion of their food, but there was still a feast left. Without further ado, I made myself comfortable at the table and started wolfing down the food. I helped Silva serve her favorite, so she wouldn't make a mess on the table.

Burp!

My stomach made a sound of satisfaction, and I was back to normal.

I stood up , with Silva in my arms, and faced the person who didn't utter a word or made any action.

" Thank you for the meal. My name Rachael Rodriguez. If you need any help from me in the future, I would do everything in my power to help you. "

With that said, I left the dining hall with a filled stomach.

The next morning after breakfast , we went to the classroom, where we had our art class. And it seemed all the normal classes were taken there.

A mouse came into the class, it wasn't like any mouse, it was big, it had large brown eyes, and its whiskers were long and curly.

It had on its body a t-shirt and a waist-coat.

"I am Basil, your Chemistry teacher. I don't like to waste my time on some students, and I have some rules. When I am talking, do not interrupt. Do I make myself clear?"

" I'll start with the meaning of Chemistry.

Chemistry is a branch of natural science that deals with the composition and constitution of substances and the changes they undergo as a consequence of alterations in the constitution of their molecules. Do you understand ?"

His voice was like a squeak, but one could still hear what he said.

The class was as silent as a graveyard.

" Good. I guess you have. We'll start with some basic concepts of Chemistry.

Matter. What is matter?

Anything that has mass and occupies space is called matter. I shouldn't also explain states of matter.

If anyone doesn't know we have a library in the school, two halls from the dining hall, then you'll see the library.

You should also read, what matter is classified as, at macroscopic level, properties of matter and their measurement, the international system of units and uncertainty in measurement and significant figures.

Ok…. Now I'll teach you the laws of chemical combination.

Laws of conservation of of mass

It states that matter can neither be created nor be destroyed.

Laws of definite proportion/ composition

It states that a given compound always contains exactly the same proportions of elements by weight.

Laws of multiple proportions

It states that if two elements can combine to form more than one compound, the masses of one element that combine, with a fixed mass of the other element, are in the ratio of small whole numbers.

You should read Gay Lusac's law of Gaseous volumes, Avogadro's law and Dalton's atomic theory."

After this he left the class, for it was his time to go. As we all departed, my roommates and I went straight to the library . When we got there I said,

" Keep searching, I will join you later."

I went straight into the headmistress' office.

«Καλημέρα, κυρία. Μπορείτε να αφιερώσετε λίγα λεπτά;."

(Good afternoon, madame. Can you spare some minutes.) I said in Greek and she gestured for me to take a seat.

" I guess it's about Basil, I've told him so many times, but the old mouse turns a deaf ear."

" No. It is not about Mr. Basil." I answered.

" Who is it about then?" she asked.

"My magic class. I want to learn more. Terra magic, aero magic and so on."

She handed a box to me and said:

" Don't you need a tutor?"

" Not at all." I answered.

" Ma'am, if I may ask, is it only a cat that could be a familiar?"

"No, not at all," she said.
