Prologue: History

Lunar calendar ..... Year 2030 …..

Year of the catastrophe .....

One day suddenly big magic portals opened up in the sky all over the world. Hundreds of thousands of meteors came out of the portal which struck the Earth's surface, causing massive destruction everywhere and leaving it in ruins.

The majority of Earth's population of living creatures including humans became almost extinct after the catastrophe.

But it was just the beginning of a new era, the 'Magical Era'. It was just a matter of time when everything started to change drastically. And it was no ordinary change. It was a milestone in human history.

The meteors that fell from the sky were no ordinary meteors. They were unique and were made up of an unknown crystal. Soon all the meteors sublimed with Earth's atmosphere and vanished within a year.

After that humans started to discover those mysterious type of crystals everywhere on the Earth. And those crystals were named … 'MANA' …

These crystals .....'MANA'.... created radiation and had the capability of mutating living creatures. Within a short period of time, these mysterious crystals mutated all the humans, enabling them to use special powers. The power, similar to which we call 'Magic' today.

And with the help of science and magic, humanity prospered within a short period of time and recovered most of the damage from the catastrophe. But every story doesn't have a good ending and it was no exception.

On discovering that humans could use such magic powers which were only in books and legends, countries started war against each other for power, land, food, etc. Which resulted in the first ..... 'Magical War' ...….

The war lasted for decades and with all bloodshred and looses it finally came to an end.

Even after the war stopped there were many other problems to threaten humanity.

"With great power comes great dangers." .....

Many unknown diseases with no cure started to spread like pandemics but the most important was the occurrence of mutant creatures and monsters.

Yes, not only humans got mutated and started to develop magic powers but even other living creatures turning them into mindless monsters.

The whole scenario of chaos and despair was everywhere. Peace was nowhere to be found. But finally, all humans united and all countries came together to form a special organization to control the chaos throughout the world.

25 years later..... After the catastrophe...

AMDF..... [Anti Magic Defense Force] ....

A special organization was formed by the union of some strong humans from different countries all over the globe, for the peace and welfare of humanity. But also to control the use of magic by humans and to fight against mutated monsters.

"The only constant thing in life is change."...

Humanity accepted it all and started to move on. Into a new era, an era of Magic. But still, in this magical world, the rules remained the same as always.

"Survival of the strongest."...

100 years later....

Inside an abandoned factory..... Japan .... [Unknown Location]

A boy with black short hair, sharp blue eyes, with a face of hatred standing in the middle of thirty men wearing a black robe with a hood.

"If you pests don't want to die, bring me 'PHANTOM'….!!!"

The boy said that almost shouting, then dark fumes started to appear on both of his hands.

"You think you can defeat all of us alone kid!! We are advanced-level mages."

One of the robed men mocked the boy.

Then ten of the robed men came forward and shoot fireballs at the boy. But the boy stood still in his place and the fireballs got absorbed by a black circular barrrier that appeared in front of him and he was unscratched.

..... "<DARK EXPLOSION"....

The boy put forward his right hand and threw a sphere of dark mass toward the robed people.

BOOM!! 💥

Then a huge explosion occurred, scattering all the other mages on the ground.

All the robed mages gets up again and surrounds the boy. This time everyone attacked with their all might, "flame thrower", "lightning strike", "water blades", "wind slash".

With all the attacks combined an explosion occured surrounding the boy. Smoke was emerging from the area of damage. There was evil smile on the faces of all the mages after that.

But their happyness lasted only for few seconds until they saw the boy walking from inside the smoke totally unharmed. Before the mages could do another attack, the boy raised his hand.

The boy instantly put up his left hand upward.

.... "<RAIN OF DAGGERS>"….

Hundred of black daggers were produced in the air on top of the robed mages. Then the boy slowly puts down his hand. All the daggers came down with high velocity piercing through the bodies of mages.

Within a flash of a second, the air inside the factory was full of blood smell.

"Well well .... Sain Shibai …. As expected from a veteran-level mage."

Said a man in a long black jacket with a mask. Who comes walking slowly from the dark toward the boy clapping his hands.

"I will say this one more time. Will you join me....?? We both can change the broken worlds and make it perfect."

The boy was silent for a while and suddenly four magic circles appeared behind the boy.

The boy was looking straight into the eyes of the masked man, as if they were born enemies.

"SHUT UP !!!! SHUT UP!!!!"

The boy starts the breathing heavily.

"Die Phantom !!!!! Just die !!!!....."

The boy shouted with an angry face.

…."<DARK RAY>"…

From the magic circles, four dark rays flashed toward the masked man.

But suddenly another masked person appeared and created a shield of light and the dark rays gets nullified.

"You are no match for my power. But you refuse to join me, so you are useless to me now."

Said the masked man and then he raised his hand to give signal and four other masked people surround the boy and put four metal rods into the ground surrounding him.

The boy looked around him with a confused face and suddenly a big magic circle appeared on the floor below the boy's legs. And he found himself standing in the middle of a magic circle. Suddenly chains made of light came out from the floor. The chains locked the limbs and body of the boy pulling him downwards on the ground.

The boy tried hard to break the chains but was unable to do so.

"Struggle is futile. The chains are made of light element which has the capability to nullify your dark element. Now then goodbye."

The four rods surrounding the boy started glowing. Then the masked man and instantly pressed the button of the remote he was holding into his hand.

"What is this ??"

Asked the boy in with a struggling face.

"It will be waste of power if I just kill you. Instead, I thought to steal your powers and make some use of it.

Now then shall we start the extraction?"

A sudden black mark started to emerge from the right hand of the boy and running toward his face. The boy wide opens his eyes but his eyes were nomore of a human it seemed. It looked like a beast was being captured with all force, and the beast tried its best to escape.

After long struggle black fumes started to produce from the body of the boy. And then the black fumes started to move slowly towards the glowing rods. The device continuously kept sucking out the dark energy out from the boy.

"A a a a a h h h h...…."

The boy started to feel pain from the unknown extraction device.

The masked man started to walk closer to the boy, bowed down and grabbed the boys hair and pulled it towards him.

"Look at you now, powerless and miserable. The strongest among among my students is going to die infront of me for trying to deceive me.

I gave you the chance to become powerful and rule the worls with me but instead you chose this path. And I shall not give you another chance."

He loosens his hand and let go off the boy.

"I will kill you for sure. I will definately kill you...."

The boy spoke with a very low voice.

"Dont struggle so much, just give me your powers, As it belongs to me from the beginning."

The masked man looked at him pityfully and started to walk away from him.

"You want my powers, then take it all..."

A tremendous amount of aura concentrated outside the body of the boy. Making a layer of darkness surrounding his body, which then exploded after few seconds.

A huge explosion occurred, blowing off the rooftop of the factory. A black ray of light emerged from inside the factory, piercing the clouds and it stayed like that for about a minuite. Then it went into the open space and vanished.

After few hours the factory was surrounded by people for inspection but not even a single soul or dead body was found. As if nothing happened there.
