6 years later

Now that 6 years passed after getting isolated in the mountains, a lot has happened since then.

During the beginning of when I wasn't aware of my situation, all I did was run around the woods and train my basic "mana" like how my parents had showed me. Father had once said that I was a "genius" even in our nation which had a population of 10 million.

Mana is the basic source of magic, the purer, and bigger your capacity of mana, the stronger you become. Was what was said by my parents.

Just like what my parents had told me, mana was needed for my survival in the outside world. But who knew I'd get to have adventures at the age of 4.

Every day I trained my mana during the day while I hunted during the night. I never knew this was so efficient until now since I realized most of the monsters in the mountains only came out during the night while during the day the stronger ones were out. To keep myself safe during the day, I had always climbed up a tree and trained inside my so called "secret layer". This "secret layer" was already in the tree when I first arrived in the mountains. I coincidentally found it while looking around.

Now that I am 10 years old and stayed in the mountains for 6 years I had always wanted to explore more of the mountains. Mother had once said "Mountains are like dungeons, the deeper you go the more dangerous it gets." I knew this for a fact but...

More Danger = More Strength + Rewards

In this world their are tiers of magicians and warriors, each tier had 9 stages. After reaching the ends of the 9th stage of your tier, you could "Tier Up". The tiers were from tiers 1 through 4, 1 being the lowest while 4 being the strongest. Father had told me that outside our continent their were people who surpassed tier 4 magicians/warriors, this was a given because the people who attacked our nation were in the tiers after tier 4.

The reason for me getting stronger you ask?

Well that's a given. It wasn't for revenge but it was for the debt they owed me for causing me "mental damage". Their were more reasons of course but lets talk about the other reasons later.

In my current state I am a magician in Tier 2 stage 5. Father had said that in the mid stages of Tier 1 were the average magicians in our country while the strongest magician, Rodney Wilson, was a Tier 3 stage 8.

Warriors were different in the aspect of strength because even tough warriors are close range, they were far stronger than magicians in 1 v 1 fights. In the arena Magicians were slow and didn't have much range to start with, this led to warriors always rushing towards the magicians and winning almost all the time if their isn't a whole 3 stage gap. Tier gaps counted as a whole 5x stronger and stuff so it was inevitably to lose if you're 5 times weaker.

Magicians can only fly after they have reached Tier 3 because flying was a overpowered skill for magicians. Flying also required huge amounts of concentration and mana to be able to fly for a while. Average Tier 3 magicians can only fly for 1 hour at their base speed while our strongest magician, Rodney, could fly for 8 hours at his base speed. The speed obviously depends on the mana capacity so the bigger capacity the more faster one could fly.

I am a Warrior and a Magician. The tier of my warrior was only Tier 1 stage 9, and I was close to a tier 2 warrior. When you have people who are both a Magician and Warrior, their overall strength sky rockets. If I was to compare my self to a tier, I would be as strong as a Tier 3 stage 1 warrior or magician.

Well, now that I'm ready.

It's time to start my first actual exploration of the mountains!
