Billy was also looking at Nina. There was a hint of curiosity in his arrogant gaze.
So this is the woman from the countryside? The biological daughter that mother had lost for almost 20 years?
As the young master of the Milton family, Billy did not intend to accept Nina yet. He wanted to test her and see if she was worthy of being his sister.
Next, Molly introduced Nina and Boris to each other.
"Come here, darling! Welcome home!" Boris passionately received Nina with open arms.
"Thank you, Boris." Nina smiled.
Boris' eyes were filled with sincerity. "From now on, this is your home. You don't have to restrain yourself. I will satisfy all your needs."
"Oh come on, Boris! I can't allow you to disregard discipline just to please my daughter." Despite her words, Molly had a broad grin on her face.
She was very happy, happy that Boris was willing to accept and treat her daughter with kindness.
Molly sat next to Nina.
When Nina was about to eat, Mary stood beside her and said, "Sir, Madam, Young Masters, and Ladies, the steak tonight is of Choice grade, served with mushroom stew and seasonal vegetables that were freshly harvested this morning. Please enjoy."
"Thank you, Mary." Boris nodded with satisfaction.
Mary couldn't help but glance at Nina and thought that Mrs. Donovan's countryside daughter probably hadn't enjoyed such a fancy meal.
As expected, she watched as Miss Jowett pretentiously cut the steak in a manner that seemed rather proper. She then placed a piece of steak into her mouth.
Then Nina frowned.
In Nina's opinion, the Choice grade beef was nothing compared to a Prime grade beef.
Moreover, this steak was probably somewhere between Choice and Select grade.
Nina took a few casual bites before quickly cleaning her plate up to satisfy her hunger.
Mary, who had been observing Nina, could not help but smirk. She thought that it was wasteful to serve Miss Jowett such good food.
After all, she was a country girl who wouldn't know how to enjoy milk and honey.
Billy, on the other hand, sat down next to Cathy and whispered, "You're taking that country girl to the party so Molly would let you out at night?"
Cathy ruffled Billy's hair. "You don't like her, little rascal?"
Billy said haughtily, "I won't accept her easily."
Cathy smiled knowingly. "Don't worry. I'll show her tonight that Boston isn't as wonderful as she thinks."
Billy was interested. "Are you going to mess with her?"
Cathy smiled but didn't answer. She held the glass of red wine in her hand and gently swirled it as she asked, "Mary, is this red wine produced by Cletis Manor?"
Mary nodded with a smile.
Boris instantly smiled and picked up his glass. "Come on, my family. I'd like to propose a toast and welcome Nina."
Claude raised his glass nonchalantly while Billy raised his glass of orange juice indifferently. Everyone raised their glasses together.
The moment the red wine entered her mouth, Nina frowned imperceptibly once again, and she quickly concealed her expression. She only took a sip before placing the glass on the table.
On the other hand, Cathy closed her eyes in enjoyment. "I heard the Cletis winery attained VDQS qualifications. It's worthy of being the best winery in Boston. What do you think, Nina?"
Nina rested an arm on the back of her chair as she stirred her stew with a spoon. When she heard that, she said flatly, "Not bad."
"Don't you feel that it was slightly sour in your mouth and that it was especially fragrant?" asked Cathy.
Nina raised her eyebrows and sat like a big boss. "It was a little sour."
