Kiarah stood in front of her grandpa's room and took a deep breath. She knows how dangerous the man in front of her is. She knows she is literally putting her head in the lion's den but she doesn't have any other option. Keeping quiet was definitely not her choice and she wouldn't settle any less for her brother.
She knocked the door twice and her grandpa opened the door after a moment. Looking at her, he frowned as he stood in front of her as she took a step back and closed the door behind him. She lowered her head as she entwined her fingers with each other.
"What happened Kiarah? Do you need anything?" He asked her as she nodded her head. He looked at her surprised. "What is it?" He asked her but she still didn't raise her head. "Matthew's throne ceremony" Kiarah said slowly and his expressions changed immediately.
"It's Matthew who is going to get the throne. Now go and get ready. We are running out of time. The ceremony will start in an hour and you will be late" he said and walked inside his room and closed the door without hearing her.
Kiarah sighed, already expecting this. Her mood dampened completely as she freed her hands and dragged herself to her room to get ready. She knows nobody will hear her or try to understand her.
The brother whom she loved the most barely talks to her and recognises her presence and she was getting frustrated by now. But she just gave him space as much as she can buy this throne thing blew her off completely but she tried to control herself.
She banged the door behind her hard and walked inside her room. Finding a lavender colour princess long frock and accessories arranged for it, a small smile made its way on her face.
It was done by Alden. It was his habit to get everything for her whenever there were family occasions but she was sure he didn't get out of the mansion for weeks.
Might be brought before the mission. She thought and started getting ready. Makeup artist came to her room and started doing her makeover fastly, her hands working magic on Kiarah's face.
In forty five minutes, Kiarah was all set to go to the ceremony. She sighed as there was a knock on her door. She expected Alden to come and take her to the ceremony which was going to be held in the backyard of the mansion where the people are gathered.
She opened the door and found Kelen standing there. Not letting her disappointment show on her face, she plastered a smile and greeted him. "You look beautiful. Just like a princess" Kelen complimented her with a genuine smile on his face.
"She is actually a princess Kelen" the voice behind Kelen said, making Kiarah almost jump in happiness. Kelen chuckled and took a step aside as Alden came into her view.
She immediately wrapped her arms around him Hugging him tightly. He hugged her back and buzzed a kiss on her head not messing up with her hairstyle.
"I thought you wouldn't come," Kiarah said. His chest rumbled as he chuckled. "I wouldn't miss taking you for occasions no matter what" Alden said with a small smile, his eyes still dull. She knew he was acting for her.
"Let's go now" he said after a moment as he broke the hug and extended his arm for her. She nodded her head and held his hand and both walked down, Nathaniel held the other hand of Kiarah joining them as Kelen walked behind them. Everyone stopped what they were doing as they made their entry.
"Beautiful" the word repeated for almost five minutes until Kiarah's grandpa stopped them and ordered everyone to go to the backyard, Matthew and his dad beside her grandpa grinning widely.
The Orion's walked in an order, Kelen and a few other guards walking beside them as they made their entry. Everyone clapped their hands welcoming them.
Kiarah's grandpa stood on the stage as the ceremony began, her grandpa started giving the speech as her along with Alden and Nathaniel sat on the front seats and heard him patiently.
"Now I'm going to announce you the next ruler of the Orion empire. Matthew Orion" her grandpa announced and she scoffed lightly, her annoyance clearly visible on her face. Everyone clapped their hands and Kiarah joined them too, clapping her hands sarcastically clearly showing how much she hated being there at that moment. Her grandpa showed his eyes indirectly asking her to shut up and talked for some more time before announcing lunch and everyone started eating.
