Prologue

It was a beautiful night, a special night that brought back all the lovely memories that had been embedded deep in one's mind as a reminder of the past that started out beautiful and now those memories were to be revived once again which made the heart be at peace

On a rainy night Erica drove her car alone down past the vibrant fluorescent lights that led to a gift shop. She had a huge smile on her face as joy danced in her heart, a tingling sensation building up butterflies in her stomach as she looked forward to the glorious night. Her face lit up as she drove the car at night with speed because she preferred not to miss anything. It was a special night for her and her husband.

Yes, she was married to the most handsome caring man that ever lived. The rain was pouring down at that point even though windshield wipers could not go fast enough to make her view out the window clear or see where she was going,, but the heavy rain made it impossible. She greatly debated on pulling over, but didn't want to waste time when she was close to her destination, with pure excitement and joy which residents in her heart heard her phone views startling her as it laid on the console. Erica glanced down swiftly at the screen noticing it was Marcela calling

"Great"she muttered and debated on whether to answer or not because the lady calling wouldn't stop bugging her until she answered hence Erica with a sigh swiped to answer the phone which was connected to a Bluetooth inserted behind her ear

"Yes mom?"she said and focused her eyes on the dark road with rain pouring heavily

"Where are you? Get back here now!" Marcela said over the phone and by the sound of her voice Erica knew how angry the lady was with her and yes, why wouldn't she, Marcela was her mother-in-law, the most caring mother-in-law, and she loved her

"Sweet mom, I'm on my way...let me just get a small gift for chip mink"she replied with a sweet tone as a huge smile danced on her face

"Its raining Eri...please come back... I'm sure that Armando won't mind"Marcela ordered in a commanding voice, but Erica shook her head, she already set on a mission to get the most beautiful gift for her husband on their anniversary. It has been a busy day making arrangements for the party, and hence she didn't find time to get her chip mink something

"Mom... I'm already there...just stall some time for me when he gets back"Erica tried to coax Marcela in a sweet tone. Her husband has gone on a business trip from the previous day and promised to come back on time for their anniversary, and therefore she wanted the night to be special for both that was why she decided to ignore the heavy rain pouring and drove in the rain just to get a special gift for him

"Look Erica, the rain is too much...it's not safe for you to drive like this please...at least pullover until it stops"Marcela said in a worried concerned tone and Erica understood that, but she was already there

"Mom...just give me five more minutes...and... I…" Erica voiced out as she stared down her phone hoping to disconnect the call before Marcela said more, but something happened, Erica glanced back up trying to see through the violent rain pounding against the window. She felt a powerful pain go up her side as she had great difficulty controlling the car, up ahead she heard a large sound and saw headlights that flashed in her eyes blinding her from seeing what was coming but judging by the sound, her brain registered it was coming from a large trick coming at full speed

"No no"Erica muttered as she tried to turn her car forgetting about the person on her phone. She saw her life hanging by the thread her breathing increased as she tried to stop but just as she turned to safety the truck hit her side and sent her car flying to the sides of the road and into the thick bushes as it hit a large tree hard, at that moment he minds went blank as she tried to lift her head, but she was stuck, and the car started catching fire. The woman on the phone heard what had happened and didn't know what to do,

"Eri...what's going on?" Marcela asked desperately as she tried to find out what was happening, but the call disconnected, leaving her in suspense. Erica's head was slammed against the steering wheel sending the pain back down her spine as she winced in pain feeling hot liquid drip down from her nose, her lips and ears. She was bleeding badly and all she could hear was faint voices "do something please...the car is on fire" those were the voices she heard which grew even fainter and fainter, her mind repeated 'I'll be fine'' but the effort was ineffective, her body wasn't reacting.

~Before the accident ~

The morning as blissful as it was, the cold air blew around the room as someone sleeping on the large queen size bed lying naked on his stomach only covered by white sheets groaned as his rippled muscled back flexed each time he tried to move. His head was covered with a white pillow. The bathroom door opened and a woman dressed in a white towel stepped out all wet with water dripping down from her hair and smirked.
