"What do you-" Prudence barely got to clarify what Vincent had just tried to say before he gripped her wrist firmly and pulled her up to her feet. "His Grace!" Prudence was irked by his behaviour and like always, expected him to understand he was about crossing the line. 

She had met many people in her life who used to force their behaviour on her, but she never knew what it actually was to be forced. 

Her impression of forced was simply when a man did not respect her boundary and arranged for surprise visits and dates. George used to do that a lot but Prudence used to get angry and walk away. To simply do something against a person's will was to force but Prudence always got out of it when the other person understood she was not okay with those things. In fact, Vincent had barely kept here against her will, he hadn't trapped her life here.
