29 Scandal And Separation

Many days passed since the dinner date, Xavier and Gianna always kept contact with each other and went on small dates when they had time. Whereas, Brinley continued to become close with Adam. Amelia was busy preparing for her final term exams, whereas Derek was busy enjoying his trip in Dubai. Everything was peaceful, but it's popularly said, it's silence before the storm.

A post on social media started spreading like plague and reached the eyes of news media and public. The renowned mafia leader and businessman, who rarely appears in front of eyes of public, is having a secret date and in a relationship with a blind girl. The photos included Gianna's cane, which was placed near her seat. Xavier's assistant sweated in fear as he presented the report of the scandal and people involved in starting this spark. A vein popped in Xavier's hand as he clutched his hand tightly in anger.

"Riporta in vita questa donna in due ore, non aspetterò oltre." Xavier seethed in anger and threw the report file across his office room, making it bang on the wall and fall with a huge thump.

[Trans: "Bring this woman alive in two hours, I won't wait any longer than that."]

After an hour, Xavier's phone started ringing. He was surprised and tensed when he saw it was Amelia calling him. He picked up the call, and soon he heard Amelia's scary voice.

"YOU DEVIL!! DO YOU THINK YOU CAN HARM MY SISTER!?" Amelia screamed and panted a few times. She was doing her evening jog when she came across a newspaper stand and saw a large Xavier and Gianna's photo in the front page. She gasped as she discovered he was a Mafia leader.

"What do you mean by that?" Xavier's calm voice made her groan in anger.

"Listen we didn't offend you in any manner, please leave my sister alone okay? I heard you two were dating... break up with her. RIGHT NOW." Amelia warned, but Xavier chuckled.

"Who're you to decide what I should do and what I shouldn't?" Amelia gritted her teeth hearing this.

"I am Gianna's real sister, for god's sake! Do you think she will be able to handle this scandal and mafia stuff mentally and socially!? She already has tons of problems in her life! If you even have a pinch of pity for us, then break up with her. It would be good for you and my sister both. If I knew about you previously... if I knew you were in mafia I would... that's why when you came at our house for the first time, I thought I had seen you somewhere before... f*ck how bad my memory is!" Amelia huffed and took a breath, trying to calm herself down. Xavier went silent for two minutes.

"It's not just my decision... Gianna has the right to decide on this too. Amelia, I'm suggesting you to stay silent for today, this matter will be sorted out by me as soon as possible and no would dare to harm you or Gianna in any way, I assure you regarding this. I will place a full time security in disguise around your apartment. Please just stay silent and cooperate for some time. Don't tell any of this to Gianna, when the time comes I'll let her know everything." Xavier sighed after talking too much. Amelia stayed silent for a few seconds and took a deep breath.

"I understand... but I will not promise you that I'll be able to keep this matter hidden for long, if any immediate situation arises I'll instantly reveal everything to her." She said.

"Alright, I'm hanging up the call, if that was all you had to say." Xavier hanged up the call and rested his head on the headrest of his chair. Soon he got a notification on his phone about the arrival of a woman who started spreading the photos of their date.

He called his assistant and told him to wait until he reaches the mafia headquarter from his office.

When he reached there, his lady guards were already waiting for him at the entrance, standing in stiff attention position. They saluted their boss respectfully as soon as Xavier entered the premises. Xavier signalled his assistant to bring all his lady guards with him to the underground prison, where the lady waiter was captivated.

"Don't use force until and unless I send a signal." Xavier ordered.

Xavier opened the iron door with a huge bang, making the woman shiver in fear. He dragged a chair which was innocently sitting in the corner of the room and sat on it while staring sharply at the woman.

"Did you click those photos?" Xavier asked in a menacing low voice. The woman shivered and stuttered,

"I... I d-didn't do a-anyt-thing!" She exclaimed and looked away.

"Don't try to act smart, I already have proof with me. If I want, I can let you rot in this hell forever. So behave and answer." Xavier said and kept one of his leg on the other, sitting like a king would.

"Yes, I-I was the o-one who... clicked them." She answered. Xavier signalled one of his lady guard. The guard punched her face instantly, making blood ooze out of her mouth. Xavier raised his hand, signalling to stop.

"Who ordered you?" He got silence in response. The guard kicked her thigh hard, making her whimper loudly.

"This is the last time... who is your employer!?" Xavier shouted this time.

"I-I was jealous... no one ordered me to do anything." The woman said while whimpering and crying.

"Jealous? Jealous of a woman who had a date with me? Whom I love so much!?" Xavier repeated and scoffed.

The woman shivered and whispered in a low voice, "What's so good about her? She can't even look at you, she must be blind behind your money, I-I am much better than her."

"You are such a pathetic woman." Xavier scoffed again and went out of the room. Two lady guards followed him and he ordered,

"Take care of her for five years in here and give her strict warnings. Release and let her go out after she has spent enough time to realize her mistakes. Let her know if anything like this happens again, she won't be able to even inhale air anymore. Keep an eye on her, let me know if she does anything suspicious in here." Xavier said sternly and left from there after taking few rounds in the prison and arm storage area.

As he was leaving his headquarters and on his way to his home, he recalled what that lady said...

'It's true, she can't see me... how did she start liking me? I agree I was... no I am infatuated with her pure, kind and caring nature. She's the most beautiful woman I have come across in my life.' Xavier thought and sighed. His phone then started ringing, it was an international call.

"Hello? Who am I speaking with?" Xavier said as soon as he picked up the call.

"Xavier, It's me. Adam. Actually I came to know from our men about your scandal news and all..." Adam said and sighed.

"Yeah, I have already dealt with that woman who spread those pictures." He informed.

"Should I talk with the people I know in media industry and hackers to erase all the evidences of pictures, from everywhere?" Adam inquired.

"Yes talk with them as soon as possible, I have also told my men to start hacking into systems and erase all evidences. I don't want Gianna to face any issues due to my carelessness." Adam chuckled hearing this.

"Don't blame yourself for this incident. It was inevitable." Adam said and soon hanged up the call, getting his work started even in his vacation.

Xavier returned to his room, after a tiring long day he was feeling quite tired when his phone started ringing again in his suit's inner pocket. He sighed and took it out, but soon the frown vanished from his face as he saw the caller's name.

"Xavier? Are you busy right now? Should I call you later?" Gianna's beautiful voice came into his ears as soon as he picked up the call. He smiled and sat on his bed leisurely.

"Gianna I am always free for you, you don't need to ask me this question every time you call me, I'll be sad if you do so." Xavier chuckled as he said making Gianna giggle. Xavier clutched his hand on his chest as he felt his heartbeat quicken hearing her laugh.

"You're becoming childish day by day." Gianna commented making Xavier chuckle again.

"Only for you my love. So tell me how come you called at night? It is rare to get a call from you at night you know?" Xavier said as he took a pillow and kept it on his lap, hugging it.

"Yeah because I go to bed early everyday so that I can wake up early the next morning... It's just... I felt like calling you... I am somehow missing you today." Gianna said and sighed.

Xavier recalled what had happened in the prison and how the scandal spread.

"Gianna, to be honest with you, I missed you too today... it was a very tiring and stressful day for me." He said and sighed. He never felt this weird even if he had dealt with many criminals and mafias. What that waiter had said stung his heart brutally.

"Ohh... You must be very tired right? I think we should talk tomorrow, you should go to sleep Xavier." Gianna said in a soft voice as if singing a lullaby to a child.

"Yeah... you should go to sleep too. Goodnight." Gianna also replied with a goodnight and both cancelled the call and went to sleep.
