Angelo felt confident that he would be able to reach Mr. Anonymous quickly, as he was beginning to make mistakes. In years of being a Don, Angelo had learned that people make mistakes when they are nervous.
He smiled at himself, but deep down, Angelo knew better than anyone that it was best not to become overconfident, as the game could change in hours, minutes, or seconds.
"Anything on Tito?" Angelo asked as he turned his head to look at Jack, who had looked down since they left the asylum.
"No, sir, nothing," Jack responded. Angelo had always known Tito to be the type of guy to disappear for days and not say anything, especially when he was on an assignment.
But even this was a little odd for him.
Just as they arrived home, Angelo stepped out of the car, and he was welcomed by the sight of a young man on his knees with his hands tied behind his back. Two of Angelo's security guards were standing behind the young man, who was crying profusely.
