"Hi, Lexi." Emily burst into the room just in time to see Lexi jump up with fear. Her eyeballs were wide, and her lips trembled, but in a split second, her cold exterior was back again.
You're so weak, Emily thought.
"What are you doing in my room, and why were you scratching in my bedside drawer?" Emily questioned. Her tone of voice was cool and definitely filled with confidence.
"Can I no longer enter my brother's room?" she questioned Emily coldly.
"I believe that this room belongs to both your brother and me, and I do not recall my husband or I giving you permission to walk in as you please," Emily told her, raising her voice slightly. The thought of Lexi bursting into the room that she shared with her husband was beginning to irritate her. She had expected Lexi to back off, but instead she rolled her eyes at Emily and crossed her hands over her chest.
"I think you are forgetting who you are talking to," Lexi reprimanded Emily.
