"I do not know what you're up to, but whatever it is, I suggest you stop it." Charlotte said, raising her voice slightly, and she zoned in on Angelo.
Angelo stood only a few feet away, and with his hands inside his pocket, his action only added to Charlotte's anger. He trailed her eyes as Charlotte studied the interior of the house. "Stop it," she yelled.
Angelo, along with everyone else, stood in the very same house that his late husband had purchased as a gift to Charlotte, only for him to later gift it to Angelo instead of Charlotte's own children.
She hated seeing the smug look on his face, the confident manner in which he spoke to her and everyone around him, and most importantly, the title of Don, which was to be given to her first son only for it to be awarded to Angelo, the last born.
"Stop what, Charlotte?" Angelo asked her while still smiling. All three of Charlotte's children stared between themselves, further emphasizing their confusion.
