Madness That Dances Under the Moon

A strange man pestered a young boy, “You look bored, do you wish to hear of the time when gods would walk upon the mortal plane? The story of Madness that Dances Under the Moon?” “Uh? No? Ah wait please!! Don’t leave!! Just a bit of your time!!!” The man pleaded. “I’m not giving you money.” The boy said. “No, no! It’s fine I don’t need money! Just listen to my story!” The man said, frantically trying to convince the boy. “What the hell? Ask someone else.” The boy looked at the man warily. “And let me tell you this, if you try to kidnap me, I’m very sick in the head, so I might just go crazy.” “I’m not going to kidnap you! Really, I just want you to listen to me!” The man said. “Ok, maybe I believe you, but why me of all people?!” The boy asked, flabbergasted at the man’s conviction in making him stay. “Well, Erm. I can see it in you!! Your aura and personality! Your looks!! It has to be you!” The man explained. The boy looked at the the crazy man. Who would be insane enough to follow a random crazy? ‘I am.’ The boy thought.

Eventually, Kaizer found the action to be useless. So they closed their mouth in defeat, for no matter what they regurgitated, it still did not bring back the god of respite.

After Kaizer bored themself, they continued to wander aimlessly, looking for something that could bring this madness some stability.

The gods of the realm believed that it was hopeless. Due to the amount of changes in the mortal realm, more gods had been born, but the celestial realm was already far too full.

"What is happening? Why is this happening? My children are all dying!!!" The god of children cried. The god of calligraphy looked at them silently, contemplating something. And so the god of infidelity spoke, "It's probably the god of emotion- Oh, they should probably be called the god of madness now."

"Of course I know it's the god of madness, but what are they doing!? What do they wish to accomplish!?" The god of children screeched.

The god of calligraphy frowned, "There's no point in trying to find reason in their actions, madness is unstable and ever-changing. But like every unstable concept, they should be trying to find some sort of stability." They said while tapping on the chair they were sitting on. "We should try to adapt to these changes for now, because as it is, no god will be able to stop them."

The god of children scoffed, "And what good will it do? Both the celestial realm and mortal realm are in turmoil, and a strange substance is corroding the mortal realm. Soon it will reach the celestial realm as well!" The god breathed heavily and frantically, "We're all doomed! Can't you see?! Even I'm acting strange! I feel as if something is gnawing away at my chest, I feel as if the world will collapse at any moment!"

The god of calligraphy wrinkled their brow, "It is indeed strange… it's almost as if you're a mortal."

The god of infidelity grumbled, "You all are taking so long to figure this out.. isn't is obvious?"
