Chapter Four| Slow Down

Third person P.O.V

Alessia slammed the door shut, the heel of her boots clacking, a cold expression on her face as she moved towards the fronts door, the guards eyeing her.

Her hips swayed, her dress flowed and her eyes calm, inside her heart was blazing and her mind ran, she was filled to the brim with curiosity and could barely manage to keep it in.

She ran her hand threw her curly hair, trying not to step on her dress, with all the thoughts running through her head, she still appeared calm, her face glistening under the sun.

Alessia walked up to the door, adjusted her bag before banging on the dark oak double door, the noise echoing through the air.

BANG! BANG!

She took a step back as she heard the footprints approach, the door opening, a face comming to view.

His beige cargo pants just the right size, his purple sweatshirt looking extras big, the turtle neck seeming to hug his neck.

"and you are?" A slender boy approaching the door, his afro popping out before him, his voice deep voice toneless, his accent dripping.

"Alessia Lucchese Estoy aquí por mi padre" I replied his eye widening, he cleared his throat, opening the door for me.

TRANSLATION: I'm her for my father

She took a quick glance at him, walking through the door, settling her thoughts.

"He ha some..um... company, but I'll tell him your here" He says walking into the wet wing.

He stopped in his tracked, turning back to look at me, gesturing me to follow him, the marble floor shinning.

"Call me SJ" He said, Alessia slipping beside him matching his pace as she stared at him, the light reflecting into his brown eyes.

He looked up at Alessia, a question running through his mind, he looked at the ceiling, the chandelier hanging over them as the walked, looking back at Alessia after seconds.

SJ stopped suddenly in the middle of the hall, Alessia looked around, the cold marble stone glistening, two flights of stairs leading upstairs.

She knew this place from the back of her hand, it was like map formed at the back of her mind, lasting memories stuck in her mind, yammering at her in the dark, where the sun cannot watch and where it cannot reflect the tears or fears or the effects or the pain it has cost her.

"You have to wait here, I need to ...you know... clarify you can go past her.." he said staring at her waiting for an answer, an emotion, something, she nodded.

"ok just wait here, you can take a seat" SJ says scurrying of, he went deeper into the room, Alessia loosing sight of him.

She was panicked to say the least, she couldn't think straight, her thoughts flew around pidgeons trying to eat the piece of bread the kind old lady threw out for them.

She took a deep breath, bring her bag down to arms length, both her hands griping onto it as she collected her thoughts.

"I can do this!" she chanted in her head a few times, reality seeming closer to her, she got here in a rush, curiosity taking over her senses and adrenaline filling through the course of her body which seemed to have been diminished.

"Miss?" Alessia flinched hearing a voice snap her out of her thoughts.

The man speaking was in a basic suit, the blazer and tie and all that, his voice not as deep as SJ's, his green eyes empty.

The man was short, hardly up to 5'5, his huge belly the size of a watermelon, his hairlinr tarting right below his ears.

"Follow me" the man motioned, tracing SJ's footsteps.

'This place runs like a palace or something' Alessia thought, trying not to look around, she had money, like a 500k annual income, this wasn't a new setting, it was just a different feel.

'Charlette is seriously going to fire me at this rate" A thought ran through Alessia's mind as she fought a smile back.

Her blue eyes shone under the light, her hair bouncing as she increased her pace trying to catch up with the man's footing.

"Slow down" She said, the man only seeming to walk faster.

"Did you not hear me? or are you deaf all of a sudden" Alessia asked stopping in the middle of the hallways, the light barely illuminating the halls.

The man stopped in his tracks glaring at Alessia, putting his weight on his left leg.

"It's not my fault you can't keep up" the small man breathes out, looking a bit out of breath.

"I can see you don't know your place so I'll remind you" Alessia walking towards the man, bending her knees to reach hiss height.

"You think I don't know? not even the press can fool me, I know your father doesn't care about you" the man retorted, no fear in his voice, his confidence dwindling.

"Do you really think I sit around all day crying over my daddy issues?" She laughed.

"I know people, keep that in your mind, and I can handle a gun and a few cops"  she whispers loud enough for him to hear.

His confidence shrunk, his posture changing, the man standing up straight, letting out an agitated cough.

"Do you plan on standing there like idiots?" a voice came from the other side of the hallway, Alessia turning around, her eyes meeting with a pair of dark brown eyes.

"Father" Alessia greeted.

"Alessia" he replied in the same tone.

"Are you so useless that you are unable to bring one person to me Charles?" Alessia's father roared, the man flinching.

"Come Alessia, you've kept me waiting long enough" Alessia's father said as he turned around, moving towards a dark walnut door.

"I suggest you get a new haircut, your current one is a bit ....receding"
