Chapter 65: Planning The Next Course of Action....

Luffy returned to Shakky's bar and currently the Devil Dragon Pirates were enjoying the sumptuous dinner Shakky had prepared for them.

Suddenly Luffy's phone started ringing, so he told everyone to be quiet and brought out his phone from his pocket. But he was surprised for a moment when he saw the familiar Den Den Mushi number. Luffy turned on the loud speaker as he was having a meal.

" Hello, Luffy speaking. " Luffy said. Hancock's voice could be heard from the other side, " Dear, It's me Hancock. How are you? "

Hearing the intimate tone of a woman, except Zoro everyone stopped eating and started paying attention to their conversation.

" I'm fine my Princess. So is something wrong, you called me at this hour. " Luffy smiled and replied.

Luffy replied, " Princess, don't argue with them any further. Just go with them and i am also coming to participate in the war, so wait for me. We will meet very soon. "

Luffy nodded and replied, " Actually Ace was captured and will be executed in a week. So i am going to rescue him and because he is the member of Whitebeard Pirates, so a war between the Marine and Whitebeard is inevitable. " Everyone became serious after hearing this piece of information.

Zoro asked excitedly, " So are we participating in this grand event?? " Luffy nodded, " Yes, but not all of us will participate. I will take some of you with me, although i haven't decided yet."

Luffy went on, " Okay everyone be quite, i need to call Whitebeard. " Then Luffy pulled out a paper from his pocket and called the number on it.

" Hello. " A bored sounding voice asked, " Who is this, yoi? "

' Ah, the Phoenix guy. ' Luffy thought.

" Is this the Moby Dick, the ship of Yonko, Whitebeard? " he asked aloud.

" Yes it is, yoi. " The man replied. Everyone in the room gasped. " My name is Marco, 1st division commander. Who are you, yoi? "

' I can't believe this. ' Nami thought. ' 1st division commander of the Whitebeard Pirates. '

" I'm Monkey D Luffy, captain of the Devil Dragon Pirates! " Luffy replied.

" Luffy? " the man repeated, but then he realized something, " Ah, you must be Ace's brother, right? "

" That's right. " Luffy replied.

" So why are you calling, Luffy? " Marco asked.

" I'd like to talk with your captain. " Luffy told him. The line was silent for a moment. " Okay wait a minute. " They heard the sound of walking and then Marco knocked on a door.

" COME IN. " a loud, booming voice announced.

' Edward Newgate, the strongest man in the world. ' Zoro thought and grinned.

" Pops, I have someone who wants to talk to you! " they heard Marco say. Someone else groaned in annoyance.

" I thought I told that Red-Haired brat to stop calling me and come in person! " Whitebeard commented.

' This is definitely Edward Newgate. ' Robin thought in shock.

" It's not Red-Haired, yoi. It's Ace's little brother, Luffy. The one with the incredible bounty. " Marco told him. Luffy smirked.

" HEY, OLD MAN! " Luffy yelled. The entire crew cringed at this.

" Give me the Den Den Mushi, Marco. " Whitebeard said calmly.

" Hey brat. " He greeted after a few moments. "So you're his little brother? "

" That's right. " Luffy replied.

" So why are you calling? Do you want to become my son like they have? " Whitebeard asked.

The Devil Dragons were shocked. ' He's so quick to offer him to join the crew. ' They thought. Zoro just smirked.

" No, the future Pirate King can't have a captain. " Luffy laughed, much to the horror of some of his crew members and finally replied after a while. There was silence from the other side for a moment.

" GURARARARARA! Pirate king, eh? " Whitebeard started laughing aloud and asked, " You are one cheeky brat, aren't you? And you have one really big dream."

" I guess so. " Luffy replied to him calmly.

" So why are you calling me, brat? " he asked.

Luffy answered, " I have something to talk to you face to face, so i want to meet you. " There was a moment of silence.

" Okay brat, we are currently heading towards the Fishman Island. So if you want to meet me then come here. " Said Whitebeard after a while.

Luffy laughed, " Alright i will. "

Whitebeard laughed, " Gurararara...Okay cheeky brat. Come soon, i am waiting. " Then he hung up.

" Alright, everyone we will set off to the Fishman Island tomorrow, so rest well. " Luffy said and left them.

The next day.

Just when the Devil Dragon Pirates were heading towards their next destination, a intresting sight greeted them.

An immensely tall individual was snoring on a floating chunk of ice in front of their ship obstructing their way.

Immediately upon seeing him, Robin tensed up. Luffy glanced up to her. Her eyes were wide. This was the first time that he witnessed her display outright fear, apart from maybe when Enel was about to electrocute her.

The man removed his sleeping mask and looked at everyone present. His gaze stopped at Robin in particular.

' It's him. ' she thought in panic. ' It's him. Why is he here? '

She started backing away. Luffy, who was standing next to her leaned towards her ear.

" Keep calm. " he whispered to her. She looked at him, fear still in her eyes.

' How does he intend to handle this situation?' she asked herself.

" No matter what happens, don't attack him. " he told her quietly. The man watched their interaction with interest.

The man said, " Its great to see you again, Nico Robin. " Everyone looked at Robin and only now could they see how scared she was.

' Robin's really scared of him. ' Nami thought. Everyone else had similar ideas.
