"I am Aiden's half-brother."
That sentence echoed inside Winter's head, filling every empty spot until she blanked out.
She stopped caressing Sebastian's hair, staring down at him with a blank expression as she could not process what she just heard.
Sebastian was worried as Winter looked indifferent after he dropped the bomb. So he hugged her waist tighter, afraid that she would push him away, "T-that doesn't mean a thing to me, Winter! I don't need any of Aiden's inheritance. I'm telling you this because I want you to know the reason for my mother's behavior."
"She wants to take everything Aiden left for you because she thinks she deserves it more than anyone," Sebastian added desperately. "I never wanted any of it. I was just heartbroken, after realizing that everything only comes down to money."
Winter felt conflicted, and asked, "Do you have any proof?"
