She hesitated for a moment and asked, "Are you sure you can handle it?"
"What do you mean, Madam?" Arthur was confused. "Did I do something to make you hesitant?"
"No, you didn't," Winter replied. "I'm just worried that you might get hurt because of her. Camilla is a very scheming woman."
"I think I will do just fine, Madam. I've been involved in plenty of espionage operations when I was in the military," Arthur assured. "A woman like Camilla should be a piece of cake for me."
Winter wanted to say yes, but she was so scared of losing him. After all, Arthur was the only one who genuinely cared for her well-being. He had always been loyal to her, both in her previous life and in this life.
Winter was overridden by the fear of the unknown, and Arthur sensed it.
