Illusion mage

I forced my eyes to snap away, relieved that my efforts succeeded just in time. Returning my gaze to the thyroid that had initially caught my attention, I observed her standing motionless. However, the glow of the thyroid seemed to be beside me on the right. In a sudden reflex, I leapt to my feet, uncertain whether it was instinct or another force compelling me. As I jumped, the illusion dissolved, and she stood where I had been just moments before, wielding a knife as big as her arm. The knife covered in blood, blood as red as a blood moon. The knife was glowing and seemed to be pulsating. I landed a bit away from here, I noticed that her and I had something in which we were the same. We were both insane due to this game. A smile appeared upon my face and a laughter fled from my mouth. She had a different type of insanity but still insanity, her perfectly normal life had been ruined by this game. My life had become only better. The creeping laugh had resounded through the night sending shivers down some spines.

The blade which had appeared in my hand glistend in my hand due to the blood red hue shot out of her knife which was still pulsating but at a more rapid pace. I looked her in the eyes and seemed to pulled in to those pearly white eyes with unordinary blue pupils which seemed to see the very core of me. I threw my knife not at her but at a chair. Due to the exact amount of power, speed and the location it was thrown at the chair bounced toards me. The knife flew back after due to return.

A smile appeared on my face as I realised that I could make it harder and more fun. ''If you manage to get me of of the chair I have perched myself on I will kill myself.'' The laugh from earlier had become worse. A semi-welcoming smile beconing her to some over. She looked like she was charging at me I once again saw the thyroid not infront of me but aside me and my hand shot at her neck as she suddenly sunk down into the ground this time it actually being her sinking into the ground and it not being a illusion. I sat still once again eternally perched onto this chair until her death. As promises are meant to be kept.

She reemerged from the ground right behind me still invisible, I only noticed he due to the weird rotation of my head. As she arrived at her full length my hand instantly gripped her neck and I pulled it close and took a bite of her neck while she was still alive, the meaty flesh left a bloody aroma behind in my mouth, I almost reached the thyroid in but one bite but I did not want to ruin a perfectly good meal by just bitting and gulping it down in one bite. I gripped the area around her thyroid out of her neck her body going limp. I felt delighted that I could finally eat. The tast was incredible but it didn't taste like I thought it would have tasted like. I noticed some discrepensies in the room in comparison to when I first came in.

I let her body and the partialy eaten thyroid fall onto the ground with a slight puff of steam coming up from the ground. Steam huh usually bodies don't let out steam when you drop them, then I saw the illusion break I stood there infront of her, she was standing there still concentrating on the spell she had cast. She then stopped noticing I had escaped the first words I had heard her utter since I came into this house then left he mouth in a gasp: ''How did you escape it.''

''It didn't taste like I thought it would. It was delicious and juicy. The juice leaking out and licking it of of my face was great but not as good a real thyroid.'' I said frankly. Then in just a hundreth of a second I had crossed the small distance between us. gripping her neck until I could reach into her neck and pull out the thyroid which I had lusted for. Now I felt empty and just took a bite, this had been the first fight I had really enjoyed.

''Skills.'' I called out.

Ascendant stealer (active) : you have the capabilities to take out of a part of someone's body and then steal one of their skills or some of their stats, the part that you have to take a bite of appears above someone's head. There will also be a glow coming of of the part you have to devour. (level 2)

grave robber (passive) : you can perfectly steal from all graves without ever being caught even if it is done

Calculative killer (passive) : You can slow down time to 1/2 of what it is normally and use this time to find the best way to kill someone. the time will increase with the skill's level. You will feel great after killing someone and will feel more eager to kill someone. (level 1)

murder knowledge (stat): you know more about facial expressions and how to kill someone and more knowledge about criminal facts and murders.

Mind domain (active) : When ever you are in a fight you can summon your mind domain which is a 10 by 10 meter area in which you become twice as good in everything. This is a skill every ascendant class has. The skills level will only increase if you kill another ascendant and will then increase by the level of their mind domain by the level of the mind domain. the area increases in size by 10 meters on every axis. your the effect on your skills also goes up by one so from 2 to 3. If 2 mind domains clash the higher level 1 will win, if they are at the same level than they will be nullified. (level 1)

Pickpocket (active) : You can pickpocket someone perfectly every time.

Imitation (active) : you can perfectly imitate someone's body and voice just not how you act. 0.1 mana per minute active

Weakness detection (passive) : red circles glow around the weak points of a creature/human.

Ascendant Enhanced Dexterity and speed (passive/active) : your dexterity and speed are increased by 3x. If you activate this skill you dexterity and speed are increased by 0.1 per second it is active for 2 minute and then decreases to 1 for 5 minutes after this. (level 1)

Return (active) : you can return any thrown weapon at the price of 1 mana

ravenous (active) : decrease your intelligence to 0 and increase your other stats by the amount you decreased your intelligence by. You are not able to speak think or use skills in a ravenous state.

attack that always hits (active) : you can make one of your attacks always hit. Your opponent will come to a standstill if their speed is below the users × 5. The attack will deal 125 percent more damage to the opponent which it is used against. There is a ten second cooldown between uses.

Minor illusion (active) : You can make your opponent imagine they see something while they dont. This can be things like a cat or even a small dragon wyrmling. You can also make yourself partially invisible.

Just now I noticed that my ascendant stealer had leveled up which had caused me to become capable of seeing the red borders. Although it was quite sad I had not awakened the power to pull someone into dreams like she had done.
