Mad love (I'm anti-romantic) Book 3

I love you. I hate you. I like you. I detest you. I need you. I think you're stupid. I think you're a loser. I think you're wonderful. I know you stole my heart in addition to yours. But yet and despite all these, I'll tell you one thing, I STILL WANT TO BE WITH YOU...

*Orianna's and Britney's Perspectives*

"Hello?" Britney opened the door and walked in uninvited.

She had been knocking on the door for minutes but seems like there's no one to answer the door.

Or better say yes there is someone but the someone is sleeping and snoring so loud on the bed.

Britney raised her brows, so surprised to still see Orianna asleep at this time of the day.

"Does this means that she has no idea it's daybreak already?" Britney mumbled, still standing by the door.

She obviously left the door open and made her way towards the bed.

Orianna must be an unpunctual type of person. If by this time, she's still asleep, then how-

"Please wake up." Britney pats her on the shoulder.

Orianna mumbled something in her sleep and snuggled with her pillow.

"Come on, get up, you're gonna be late for class." Britney continued patting her.

The sleepy Orianna slapped her hands off, softly.

Britney shook her head, surprisedly, "Really? Is this how this new girl is?" She stood up from where she was kneeling on one knee on the bed and reached for two iron metals.

Britney slammed them together. Leaving the metals to make a great sound.

Orianna heard that loud and clear. She'd be lying if she said that wasn't loud in her dreams.

She sat upright, hands pressed against her ears. Cut it out. My eardrums are almost dropping out milk. She mouthed, aggressively.

The metal sent vibration even to the walls.

Britney shrugged, "Sorry for the Gong. But you have to get ready for class. It's your first day in college."

Orianna's eyes widened in shock.

First day in college!

And she's still asleep?!

Hold on there a sec..... She only laid down with Ellie Goulding's track playing in her ears but never did she expected to pass out into a deep sleep.

All thanks to Princeton and his calcus who lured her to sleep even before bedtime.

Is it morning yet? Orianna mouthed.

Britney with the confused expression asked baldly, "Do you just mouth words silently or you don't like stressing yourself when talking?"

Orianna eyes popped out the socket. Did she just described the hidden part of herself to Britney?

Damn! She swore never to let anyone know. She believes they'll laugh at her.

Though she haven't responded to Britney's question but she expected her to make a mockery out of it.

But no.

Britney is still neutral. Not even with a smile.

Orianna sighed.

Even if she'd said no one, every one will find out someday and the first to suspect that is Britney.

Since Orianna refused to say anything because she's still stunned from the sudden question, Britney decides to add, "Don't you talk in the morning? I mean, I don't know your name but I'll tell you mine." She placed her hand on her chest, "I'm Britney and you're?"

Orianna didn't replied instantly. Instead, she looked around for her backpack and when her eyes flicked on it somewhere on the floor, she left the bed to go for it.

She search her backpack furiously.

Britney sat on the bed, arms crossed, head corked to one side, still in confusion.

Finally, Orianna brought out a little jotter and a pen.

She flipped the paperback cover open and wrote on the first page after a click of her Pen's bottom button. Hi Britney, I'm Orianna. Nice to meet you.

She handed it over to Britney.

A slight frown, knitted Britney's brows and she looked at Orianna. "Orianna, can I ask you another question?"

Orianna shook her head with a friendly smile.

"Are you..." Britney want to ask something but don't know if it'd sound offensive or insulting in the ears of the hearer. She took a few seconds before asking, "Are you mute?"

Uhh...

"I'm sorry I asked," Britney slammed her palm on her forehead and gibber something in her mouth, "Oh Brit, your mouth will land you into-"

Britney's rest words dissipated after Orianna poke another sheet of paper across her face.

This time it said, Yes, I am mute. Thanks for your understanding.

Now Britney is voiceless and heartbroken.

She slowly put down the paper and allowed the wind blew it few metres away from her.

"I'm so sorry." Britney told her. "Do you mind telling me how you became mute?"

Orianna shook her head and wrote on another sheet of paper within 0.03 seconds. Yes I will, but I have to prepare for class now.

"Oh yeah," Britney shook her head. "We have to prepare for class. I have a class to attend and you have a lot waiting for you on your first day in college."

She smiled. Orianna loved that smile, so, she returned it.

The girls kept the gaze at each other for seconds.

Britney first of all broke the dumb atmosphere, "I've ordered something for everyone's breakfast including you." She stood up, ready to leave. "It's my turn to treat everyone."

Orianna frowned, writing volubly on the sheet of paper. She poked it at Britney again. Why the wastage of money when there are raw food items in the kitchen?

"Something you should know, Ori." That's for short. "There are no maids, cooks or chefs in this building. As far as I am concerned, this is how we roll on our daily treats."

So you guys order foods, drinks for everyone everyday? Orianna wrote.

Britney nodded with a smile. Yes.

Not fair! Orianna wrote.

"Yeah, I know. But this is how we roll, girl." Britney opened the door, stepping one foot outdoor. "When it's probably your turn, you take care of everyone's treat. Except the bodyguards. My father takes care of their treats, daily."

And his kids? Orianna wrote.

"Yes he does too. Infact, he cares for us and my mom more than his own self. Is just that, he want us to learn something for ourselves by not sending a helper to do the chores." Britney sighed.

Do you mind if I play the part of being a chef and an intruder at same time? Orianna wrote.

By now, sheets of papers are already littered everywhere in the room.

Britney chuckled, "An intruder? Who said you are?"

Orianna shrugged and wrote, My hilarious instinct does.

"Then I'd love to be a part of it too." Britney smiled. "I hope you'd teach me more of how to do the chores in the house. Most especially, in the kitchen."

Orianna shook her head, vigorously. Gladly.
